Evolution should not be taught in schools, the Bible should. They even have the nerve to tell me my DNA shares 98.5% of that of a monkey! The last time I checked I did not look 1.5% different from a baboon... In fact I look much different! People must be incredibly bored to make up these lies...

First of all, evolution isn't faith based, its based on scientific facts, things that can be independently verified through direct observation, unlike the existence of God, which has no empirical evidence. Even with facts to support it, evolution is admittedly a theory. Supporters of creationism have no facts to back them, just their personal beliefs, and want to be treated as though creationism is a fact.

Secondly, it takes very little DNA to make the appearance of someone or an animal very different. Many of the structures of living creatures are very similar. Chimpanzees, for example, are generally taken to regular medical doctors and not veterinarians because their physiology is so similar to ours.

Finally, the people who really make me "sick" are the people who try to present belief as fact. It's time people stopped presenting their superstitions as knowledge.

You sure about that?

Most of us are sick of Christians pushing their beleifs down our throats. I am not athiest or a evolutionist though i do understand that science has proved evolution to a degree and uses it all the time.

If creation is taught in schools then ALL CREATION THEORIES SHOULD BE TAUGHT Even the pagan ones. Remember our constitution garuntees us religious freedom and the government cannot establish a state religion so therefore is any religious theries are taught in schools, they all should be taught with equality.

You can't tell how much DNA you have in common, just by examining how you look on the outside. Most of our DNA determines how our bodies work on the inside, which is the same for a baboon or a human being.

The theory of evolution has led to many discoveries and scientific advancements. Vaccines have been developed based on observing how viruses mutate, which is a form of evolution. Without the theory of evolution, we would be in the dark about these things.

If you want to learn about the Bible at school, go to a religious school or get home schooled. Public schools, which are funded by taxpayer dollars, are not there to raise you in a religion.

It used to get to me too until I realized it isn't the Christian thing to do to be so critical. Look at it as a fulfillment of prophecy...you know scoffers in the last days and all that. You should realize that part of the plan of those who are antagonistic about it is to get you to bite so that they can reel you in. I think I can here the drag spinning on their fishing rods now. And of course those evolutionist who are out to have an educated discussion won't be deliberately trying to get under your skin and you might enjoy a little mutual education. Imagine that, a creationist and a evolutionist being civil to each other.

We keep on shoving our faith on other people's throat as long as we think that we are exclusive possessors of truth.
We will change our attitude when we realize that we are truly ignorant and start learning again with true humility. And this will happen to all people when our eyes become amazed with the ocean of information on the Internet.

Yes, I agree. There is a website where it tells all about
Creation vs. Evolution. I also don't like what they teach in school, so I correct my children when they tell me this and they go back to school and tell what I have taught them. Since these public schools have this thing about religion and not being allowed to tell someone their religion is wrong, they cannot tell my children that they are wrong. My kids are older kids and teenagers, so the schools must be extra careful! Anyway, I am a born again Christian and very much against evolution.

Here is that website:

Ha, I love how you said that and decide to shove your faith down our throats.

If you don't like it, home school your kids, big whooping deal.

Sane people believe in Evolution, from a widespan of faiths, but you can live in your lies fi you want, who am I to judge. In that case, forget that, not lies, but "personal beliefs" don't want to insult you.

There's more to DNA than physical appearance, but again, your choice.

If you really cared about stopping all the "shovign faith down people's throats" you'd stop yourself.

"Do onto others as you'd want others to do onto you." Who said that again? Last time I checked, it wasn't some scientist in a lab but the Bible, which I am guessing you follow from your refrence to it. You don't want a faith shoved down your throat, dont' shove a faith down our throat. Not teaching the Bible in schools hasn't stopped Creationists from not believing in evolution, as a mtter a fact, it educated them about what they don't believe in and why they don't believe in it.

You respect me and I'll respect you, that's humanity.

Actually, Red Eye, it is. It takes much more faith to believe in evolution than intelligent design. Evolution has never been proven and the "missing link" is a myth.

I think evolution and intelligent design should be presented together in public schools. I have a problem with a radical theory being shoved down childrens' throats. Evolutionists are so desperate to disprove God's creation that they are grasping at straws. Pushing evolution doesn't change the truth.

Look at this picture and tell me that you don't look 98.5% the same as an ape.

The only reason that some people think that we look so much different than apes is because apes don't walk upright. If this ape were to walk upright it would seem a LOT like a human.

I'm just getting tired of seeing the phrase "shoving ____ down our throats" on this site. You fill in the blank. It a ridiculous thing to say. No one is forcing anyone to come to this site anyway.
