I really want to believe but somehow logically it seems there are a lot of holes, even in the bible, that prove Jesus to be God. And if Jesus were God then why didn't he ever just out-right say, "I am God."

The very symbol of Islam is a crescent moon and a star. The moon is present in the flags of some Islamic countries such as Algeria, Malaysia, Pakistan, Mauritania, Azerbaijan, Brunei and Turkey. Why do Muslims pray when there is a crescent moon in the night sky? Why is there such a fascination with the Moon in Islam? Where does it all originate from?

I am sick of hearing Christian Fundamentalists say that the U.S. was founded on Christian values, and that if you don't like it you can leave.

My friend was very offended by the movie "Bruce Almighty" and even more offeneded when i told him that I was going to go see the upcoming sequel "Eric Almighty". I consider movies to be just movies, but my friend takes it as an insult to the religion. Should i have the same feelings about this movie as my friend, or is it no big deal?

From a spiritual perspective, what are the root causes of an irrational fear of children? I believe it has to do with ghosts because they share a similar energy pattern.

When an athesist tells me they don't believe in God, i don't stick to the subject, but everytime, in my experence, that an athesist relized i believed in God they could spend weeks bashing my religion. All i ever hear about is how christians don't respect athesists, but what about all the athesists who don't respect christians? Why can't respect work both ways?

if you're god, and you know that your death really isn't death at all, but you'll just come back and float back off to heaven...

...what was ever sacrificed? nothing. a god cannot be killed, right? he knew he would be coming back (according to the bible, he told people he would be coming back), so he knew he was divine. There was no sacrifice because nothing was ever sacrificed, nothing was lost, nothing could have been lost!

Does anyone ever take the time to notice the holes in this story, and the utter ridiculous nature of the whole thing???

Satan had been appearing to me quite a fair bit in 2005 and some of 2006. A few months ago in this dream, vision I was falling into a very dark pit, and I kept falling. The more a fell, the darker it got, and it was darker that dark, you could not even see your hands in front of your face. The all of a sudden a hand reached down and grabs mine and pulls me straight out of the pit. I know that is biblical because my sister told me in the old testament it says that Gods right had pulls in out of the pit. Now christians do you think that was Satan tormenting me again or do you think it was God's warning to me? I have no idea, all I know is that I was falling into a pit, and a hand came and took me out and the end of it. I have heard some people say God can give warning dreams like that, and I heard someone yesterday say that maybe it was God showing me what I am saved from. Please if you have any insight and can help me it would be appreciated.By the way it was a very frightning.

The ninth chapter in the Quran is the only one that does not start with Bismillah Rahman Raheem ( In the name of Allah the most Gracious most Merciful). The prophet Muhammad also said the revelation that comes chronologically later is the one that takes precedent. The ninth chapter happens to be the last revealed and also happens to be the most bloodthirty. Keep in mind that muslims are required to believe the Quran is "applicable for all time".

9:39, Unless ye go forth, (for Jihad) He will punish you with a grievous penalty, and put others in your place; but Him ye would not harm in the least.

9:73, O Prophet! strive hard against the unbelievers and the Hypocrites, and be firm against them. Their abode is Hell,- an evil refuge indeed.

9:111, Allah hath purchased of the believers their persons and their goods; for theirs (in return) is the garden (of Paradise): they fight in His cause, and slay and are slain: a promise binding on Him in truth, through the Law, the Gospel, and the Qur’an

Did the Lord Jesus know, when they were getting ready to crucify Him, that He was going to rise from the dead in only three days?

If He did, if He knew all along that He would only be dead for three days, then is it accurate to says that He sacrificed Himself for us? Didn't He sacrifice only three days? And didn't He KNOW that this was all that He would be sacrificing?
