Naah, it's not offensive. And if you don't think it is, that's fine. I loved Bruce Almighty too, and I didn't find it at all offensive. I actually found Passion of the Christ more offensive for all it's Christian praise. For everything in this world, at least one person is going to find it offensive, but that shouldn't change the way you think of it.
I really believe if there is a God, he must have a sense of humor. Just look at the platypus. Besides, what was mocked about religion in that movie? As far as I could tell, it was all about a man going through an amusing series of events rediscovering his religious nature and the good in his life. Nothing offensive about that. Plus it was funny as h*ll.

I have to admit that I didn't care for Bruce Almighty. Nor will I choose to see Eric Almighty.
I feel this way because of the relationship I have with God. No one can tell you how you should feel.

No, I've seen the movie in question and personally I don't find it offensive. I think ultra conservatives may not like the idea of a man challenging gods rule but for me it's just a movie.

I think a friend that got offended by my choice in movies, would be on the way out. People are entitled to watch whatever crap they want. To be a "friend" you don't have to agree with their taste in music, movies and their opinion on Paris Hilton.
Does this guy work parttime for the Morality Police? Yuck

I'm christian, but I find nothing offensive by that movie. God taught Bruce a lesson about what to wish for. What's offensive about that? If God didn't have a sense of humor, we wouldn't be here.

See, it was considered offensive because, specially in Islam making fun or using Allah or the religion itself as something to make people laugh is wrong is a sin. Because when you respect something and believe in it you would not allow or want anyone to make such of it... dont u think ?

It's just a movie. It's not meant to offend anyone. I don't really see why someone would consider that offensive...

Fiction is fiction and even God has a sense of humor. Look at some of the people on this forum let alone some of the goofs in politics.

Movies are for entertainment purposes and it sounds like that is how you take it. I think people are often too easily offended and forget how to have fun :-)

It was mildly funny, but not offensive. Not one of Jim Carrey's better movies, though Jennifer Aniston was cute in it.
Now "Passion of the Christ", THAT was offensive.
