an experiance where you think an angel protected you

There are 3 parts in this question. Let me explain:

"It is appointed man once to die and after that to face the judgment." (Hebrews 9:27)

A very popular assumption is that if my good outweighs my bad then I should be OK when I get there. But what concerns me is this: How can we be good enough?

The Bible gives a test for this goodness called the 10 Commandments. Have you ever told a lie? Ever stolen something? Ever coveted? Ever lusted? Ever hated someone? Ever used God's name in vain? Ever disobeyed your parents? Has God always been first in your life?

It seems impossible to keep perfectly all the Commandments. So...

1. Standing before God in judgment, would He find us guilty of breaking His commands?

2. If guilty, should He send us to Heaven (reward) or hell (punishment)?

"All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." (Romans 3:23).

"Fear him who, after death of the body, has power to throw you into hell..." (Luke 12:5)

3. Seeing that it is impossible to be "good enough" and because of that we are condemned is the following true?

16 "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son. (John 3:16-18)

My cousin recently changed from Catholic to Morman and has become very, very weird about everything. Sadly, one of her children has died recently, and I want to support her, understand her, but I do not get her religion.

Since I don't believe in organized religion, I figured it would be a good idea to steal a little from every religon, lol jk. But I would like info on them, and not from wikipedia or where ever, I want to talk to actual people from religions like wicca, budhism, satanism, hinduism, taoism, whatever. I'm not sure if there's an actual name for what I'm trying to get into (if u know the name of it plz tell me), basically I just wanna learn about other religions and adopt the things I like from them. Like the whole "desire causes pain" thing from budhism, makes total sense and I remember that everyday, so I wanna know what else is out there. C'mon ppl inspire me!

anyone to be openminded about what you believe when you're not openminded about what anyone else believes?

Not that I'm saying to leave your religion or follow anyone else's. But I don't understand how you can expect someone else to follow your belief and take it as truth when you won't bother to even let them explain theirs, even if they have no wish to convert you. If you want open minds, display an open mind...or am I wrong?

and why should I care? Christians act like it's necessary and everyone should be doing it. Why.

My girls are 2 and 3 now - we are not regular churchgoers because of our ridiculously hectic lives and the inablilty to sit still (the kids)... If we were to attend, I would prefer a Catholic church whereas my husband would go to a Baptist church. BUT we want our religion to be a family experience. Neither of us will budge on a conversion to a different faith but we are happy living as 'christians.' Well, now that we want to have the kids baptized - we are stuck. So here's my question - Could our daughters be baptized un both churches? Both as a catholics and as baptists??? Any insight would be greatly appreciated especially if you've been through something similar... Thank you in advance.

Althought I believe he should have been executed, the redeemed part of me hopes that he had a chance to receive Jesus. In the past I heard that he thought that he was the reincarnation of Nebuchadnezzar. Based on my opinion of what it says in Daniel 4, Nebuchadnezzar humbled himself and gave glory to God (got saved). What do you think?

Most of the states don't put people to death anymore, so how can we condone it anywhere in the world, including Saddam?

Some people say that Jesus never received worship or asked to be worshipped. The Bible paints a different picture.

Matt. 14:33 Then they that were in the ship came and worshipped him, saying, Of a truth thou art the Son of God.

Matt. 28:9 And as they went to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, All hail. And they came and held him by the feet, and worshipped him. (In this case Jesus actually commands worship)

Heb 1:6 And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him.

Here we see God the Father commanding all the angels to worship Jesus.

i am curious about what is the ultimate sin a Christian can do. here are a few suggestions.

burning the cross? or spiting on it??? kill the priest or pope, what about loosing your faith in god after many years? hmmm what about murdering babies??? i know this sounds terrible but i am looking for the ULTIMATE SIN a Christian can do. and what will the punishment be? burn in hell for eternity? does that apply no matter what you do? do if someone do one of the things i suggested or if someone just dont believe in god, both ways u just end of in hell and burn? the punishment is the same????

please answer my question thank you. and if you can come up with what u think is the ultimate sin please tell me thanks. and what do u think about this question

How can people use the phrase "I have faith", as an excuse for believing some ridiculous doctrine? You should be ashamed of yourself, brother and sister.
