I believe in God and nobody can tell me I have to believe in both. In your opinion, does this condemn me? If it does..do you think your God is good?

Evolution has brought us to a more intelligent and philisophical plateau, a much more advanced civilisation then our milennial ancestors. This is why I am perplexed that some people believe in such biblical stories as 'the immaculate conception', 'moses parting the waves' and the 'garden of Eden'. I shouldn't have to feel guilty because I don't believe these stories to be true, it just seems so abstract -almost fantasy.

My friend is a strict Catholic, but her 18 year old daughter began attending a non-denominational Church. My friend is upset about this, (maybe she doesn't understand "Non-denominational", and frankly, neither do I. What do you think? Thanks!

From what I know most views of the bibles stance on homosexuality comes from Leviticus. These are my questions:
1. Since the bible has been translated to English "If a man lies with a man as he does with a woman, both of them has done what is detestable. They must be put to death" could mean a number of things. Lie could mean a liar or even something different that we know nothing of in the arameic language. Could a misinterpretation be possible? At face value my ex husband could be put to death because he lied to both men and women.
2. If we believe the christian view that this is a homosexuality statement, should we also agree that the bible condones "putting to death"?
3. If the above is true.........should we also believe Leviticus when it says that shaving is wrong? Do christians shave?
4. And I am being serious here....how did Moses get two of every animal on the ark from all over the world in that short of a time and that small of a boat and why did God make the seas rise?

I posted this question under the religion section because it is highly related. I will answer my question from my point of view but other answers are welcomed. The aim of executing Saddam today (the holiest day for Muslims) is to fuel the civil war in Iraq that Americans planned for and feed continually so Iraqi people will kill each others while the American troops will be safe and continue to steel the Iraqi oil. It is a message of hatred against Islam and Muslims because Muslims use to forgive at this particular day and never ever use this day for revenge which indicates that the order of executing Saddam was given directly from Bush to express his hatred against Muslims and Islam.US never learns from its mistakes and today it opened a new front to fight Muslims in Somalia but again the price of this will be very high. I never was loyal to Saddam or other dictators but killing Saddam today is a shame. I hope Bush will soon be trialed for his crimes in Iraq and follow Saddam fate.

If the Jews are right then Christians and Muslims are dreamers

But if the Christians are right then they are confused and do not believe this person to be God since he has left, is absent, and must come again to fulfil his mission.

And if Muslims await the same one as the Christians then they misunderstand their Quran and are wilfully dceiving or are deceived.

Is it possible then that all three are wrong about this person and are only guessing or deceving or are themselves deceived and do not know what they really believe?

No trying to look it up, either!

I am of the nature to grow old.
There is no way to escape growing old.

I am of the nature to have ill-health.
There is no way to escape having ill-health.

I am of the nature to die.
There is no way to escape death.

All that is dear to me and everyone I love
are of the nature to change.
There is no way to escape being separated from them.

My actions are my only true belongings.
I cannot escape the consequences of my actions.
My actions are the ground on which I stand.
