How do you know if you haven't read it? Open your mind a little and read it first before deciding that you don't believe and ask the Lord to reveal His message. Start in the new testament with the book of John. Yes it can help any who are seeking more.

You may not believe in the Bible, but the Bible is the basis for most of our current law. Don't kill. Don't steal. Don't bear false witness. Don't covet.

All of our laws can come down to 'do unto others' and 'render unto Ceasars' type of deal.

Judeo-Christian ethics in law and business.

A little trip to the library can clear all this mess up for all you non-believers. The Bible is everywhere in everything.

well, for some people I guess it's a nice crutch, but it'd be nice if we could accept science as a society fully rather than actually have to argue if something so blatantly and obviously true as evolution belongs in the classroom...

So I'd say it helps the person, but not the group.

No, because it reinforces the bad things that people shouldn't be doing. It also helps perpetuate the "mommy syndrom". Meaning that it doesn't let someone grow up and learn to deal with things on their own instead of relying on a parent to tell them what to do.

Namely, it's not mentally healthy.
