I've known several people who God has removed there addiction without any other treatment help.

I needed treatment and it was four years before I surrendered my life. During those 4 years I continued to work on getting my life straightened out after being an addict for 15 years and growing up in a dysfunctional home.

God was rigth there working thru everyone who was a part of my life, or a resource that I sought help from and once I became a Christian, He still had me reaching out for resources to continue becoming the woman He had originally designed me to be, before the world got a hold of me.

In comparing my story to others, I've learned that some God will heal immediately, others he wants them going thru the alphapbet, starting at A and going to Z. Sometimes He gives a shove and you jump several letters, sometimes, such as in my case, I would dwaddle over some letters, and sometimes, I even had to go back a few letters.

However, I've also learned, I will never reach Z, because to me this has become the alphabet of life, and God is leading me thru this on-going learning process. I would rather have His wisdom and His healing than anything the world could give, in fact, I think I mentioned in a way, what the world gave me is what made it necessary for me to seek help.

God has resources for everyone and He can work thru a book, another Christian, a non-Christian, and anything else He picks. We just have to be willing.

God CAN do anything. He created everything, which the physicists are now telling us is no more than energy and energy converted to matter (E=mc2, i. e., energy equals matter times the velocity of light squared), both of which are an expression of knowledge or ideas or INFORMATION. The entire universe is only informed chaos following informed laws

John 1
The Eternal Word
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. 4 In Him was life, and the life was the light of men.

The "word" is knowledge, information. It was expressed and God "spoke" the universe into being. He CAN do anything.

The "word" is nothing more than information, the instruction set for all of creation.

The question is not really whether He CAN, but, whether He WILL.

God created us in His own image, giving us all the right to choose, the right to exercise free will. The Lord will not TAKE an addiction from an individual. He will HELP the addicted individual to to make a choice. He already did that, two thousand years ago. Simply accept that your ragged, lawbreaking self ran into a house and hid from the police, and the homeowner sent His son out to be arrested, beaten, and executed for the crime. Believe this, and addiction has no chance. Believe it not, and the addiction owns you.

God is omnipotent. He can do anything. There are I am sure people who would testify that they prayed and were able to quit, but I think some people have a very strong will and need a constant physical and verbal support system. So, God allows His work to be done through others.

Oh yes yes yes. Many have experienced this blessing and miracle including myself.I will not give oyu my testimony but anothers among many more that I know firsthand.
A friend of mine named eddy he was addicted to heroin very badly. Eddy tried to stop a few times, but couldn't, he went to rehabs and all kinds of things. I tog tto the point where he was doing wrong things. As an example, one day in an effort to try to force himslef to face this battle he handcuffed himslef to a radiator in an apartment in order to keep himslef from going out when the urge came. But when the urge came, and he could't be free and getting so desperate he ripped the radiator from the pipes and carried it to the drug spot to get drugs.
After a little whiel someone sent a "Pentocostal holy roller" over to see Eddy. The man came in and locked the door where they were meeting, so Eddy told me. He began to pray, loud, in the Name of Jesus and of the Father Son and Holy Ghost.Eddy said he felt angry and frantic and started shaking, but the man laid his hands on Eddys head and would n't let go, rebuking satan, the devil spirit out of him, for a while like halh hour or so. Eddy said all of a sudden he started vomiting some ugly fluid out, and he saw something come out of him and felt it, besides the vomit, like some sort of a spirit. After that , a peace and joy instantly replaced his terrible feelings and he was set free that moment.Praise God. He never even felt the slightest urge to go back to the drugs, he was delivered and set free that moment without any stuggle beside this ordeal. This is true.Eddy is now the Maitenance man, or was, haven't seen him for a while, of Times Square Church in Manhattan. There are many others like this, and it is not only drugs but any sin.Including homosexuality. It is this immediate deliverance that convinces people that what was working in them was not them, because it leaves and never returns. I know everything I speak of first hand, and that is why I also believe and no amount of words can or argument can ever convinve me otherwise. I know. If anyone tells you different , it is because they don't know .Many people throughout history and the world have experinced this power, and these are the most solid and convinced Christians. To be honest they usually are found amongst the most humble people , like Jesus said, the poor are rich in Him. And if anyone were to read the bible with opens eyse and heart he will see that this is what it says and this is what Christ came for, Praise His Name. If you read that which is written by unbeleiving men who are at enmity with God, you will have truly ruined your best chance, mat god save you and all innocent souls from the evil in that is in them, but eveyone goes to his reward and finds teachers that tell them what they want to hear, instead of seeking the truth as it is in purity and simplicity. God didn'tcome to save the wise and scholars, or only the wise, for he love s them too, but he came to save sall men, but it just so happens as it is recored in the bible that the poor and humble come to him and love him and have faith.
Therefore you will find a scripture in Corinthinans that says, 'let him that is wise become a fool in order ythat he may truly beomce wise'
This means that the word of god created the world so don't depend on the world but the word of God, which is more dependable. That is a mystery I will leave for you to unravel, for if I told you , you would not believe it or me, you must experience it.
The that scripture will be fulfilled in you which says," taste and see that the Lord is good" he is only good and we are only evil , but man in his wisdom has convinced you that it is otherwise, that you are good and God the only good is evil, but that is because you are enemies and the enemy of evil appears evil to those who love it.Just like the police appear to be evil to the criminal minded. Praise His name.

Yes. God can and often does.

And all you God-haters out there....
For your own good, just SHUT UP!
Just stop now before you incur more punishment on God's great day of judgment!
It is a fearful thing to fall under the wrath of the living God.

I think that unless the person who has the addiction has truly decided they really want to change, nobody can help them. Once that decision has been made, it's anyone's game.

Humans are the only ones who can end what they have started. If that is in need of another's help, so be it. Just don't place expectations in something you can't see.

Yes. It is fact that drug addicts are just too lazy to pray themselves better. I pity their lack of concern for money and status. They are utter nothingness.
