Althought I believe he should have been executed, the redeemed part of me hopes that he had a chance to receive Jesus. In the past I heard that he thought that he was the reincarnation of Nebuchadnezzar. Based on my opinion of what it says in Daniel 4, Nebuchadnezzar humbled himself and gave glory to God (got saved). What do you think?

I prayed "God have mercy on his soul", also "protect our troups in Iraq". I worry about what will happen in Iraq and the backlash on our troops. Also no matter how evil a person it, as Jesus says we are not to return evil for evil, to do so makes us like them and not like Jesus. The fate of Saddam rest now in the hands of God.

Oh, give me a frigging break. The man brutally murdered tens of thousands of people. Did you pray for THEM? Did you worry about THEIR souls? You Bible-thumpers are such a bunch of ninnies. If there was a God to pray to, Sadam Hussein would never have attained power. Give it up.

A person that commits murder while in the flesh cannot receive salvation. they must appear before the courts in Heaven where God can judge them. Salvation is up to God.<><

Patrick C:
No offense, but figure out what you're talking about before you start spouting. It'll save you embarrassment.

God's ways are not our ways, nor his thoughts our thoughts.

"If there was a God to pray to, Saddam would never have attained power"
How do you even pretend to know that? Are you putting yourself in the position to know God's intentions and thoughts?
God saw it fitting to glorify Himself by putting Saddam in power, and then recently, saw it fitting to glorify Himself by taking Saddam out of power and having him killed.
Our purpose for existence is to glorify God, and God, not we, knows what will bring Him the most glory in any situation.
Some of us will glorify God by going to eternal punishment, and others of us will gloryfy God by going to eternal joy and bliss.
But in either case, we WILL bring God glory in wherever we end up.

And where you end up after you die is decided by one person.
You.

And as a matter of fact, YES. I DID pray for the salvation of the souls of Saddam's victims.

At least have the decency to get your facts straight before you throw them aside and start spewing your half-baked opinions.

I don't pray for anyone I don't have anything nice to say about! I could be wrong for doing this, but oh well. There are more deserving people out there that need my prayers!!

It is a possibility that the dictator was saved at the last minute. His judgment with Christ is not my responsibility or my right in any matter.
