Reading the bible and prayer help. and regular church attendance to keep your faith strong and share the feeling with other people in your congregation

Thank you for bringing up an interesting argument against the existence of god(s); i.e. if god exists, why would she allow there to be any doubt about her existence? As you suggest, couldn't god simply put the fact of her existence indelibly into the heart and mind of every person? Surely, from this god's perspective (and yours) the world would be a better place if there was no doubt in the world. Right?

Duh... Exactly who put that lie into your head?

Every human DOES NOT KNOW that God exists... some haven't heard (about 3 or 4 deaf, dumb and blind people) and the other millions and millions just don't agree that your God is for real.

I certainly don't think you've got this whole thing right about God being "in the hearts and minds" ... that's just a lot of nonsense, isn't it? And you might want to think about this - plenty of effort has gone into Christian missionaries "trying" to put God into the hearts and minds of every person they encounter, and its usually tried by the good old "let's- cram-it-down-their-throats" method or by some sort of big fat lie, (like you are trying to sell right here in this question.) There simply aren't a lot of buyers anymore, are there? Most people gag on their first taste of God and they run their little legs off to avoid a second taste.... I certainly can't blame them - who would ever want to become an idiot and a believer in fantasy all in one gulp. Tell me.. what is a reasonable synonym for the word "faith"? Could it be "irrational belief"???? You bet it could...!

So... You ask, what have I done about it? Well, this is one of the things that I do about it - I point out the truth of this kind of small-minded, self-righteous practice.... and I do it day after day right here on Y/A. I speak the truth about the dangers that I see in subscribing to the God-based religions - that they are nothing but lies and falsehoods and that they cause divisions and unrest between people and cultures who could otherwise be comfortable with each other. Additionally, in the place of your God-idea, I tout the REAL way to reach the REAL TRUTH... I speak clearly and loudly for common sense reasoning and logical thinking. I point out the simple truth and expose the divisiveness of intentional religion's transgressions from the truth and the practices of trickery used to entrap new victims.

Now..... do you have any other foolish questions you'd like to ask tonight? I'm in the mood to have a belly full.

As you may have already heard: Atheism is the ONLY logical choice. Get with it. Get real.

I'm a big believer in the enthusiasmos, the God Within. So tell me. Which God am I supposed to believe in? I'm guessing that it's the Christian God. Yaweh.

But according to legend Yaweh is the son of Baal. Baal of course is now a synonymy for the devil cuz plurality is a no. And Baal is the son of Aiel... And so on, following a seven year cycle. So tell me... Which of the pagan gods that the christian tradition grew out of should I believe in? Which is in my heart RIGHT NOW!!!!

Here's an appropriate quote for your question methinks.
"I contend that we are both atheists. I just believe in one fewer god than you do. When you understand why you dismiss all the other possible gods, you will understand why I dismiss yours."

That's pre-supposing a god exists.

Everyone is born with the lack of belief in all gods. We are all agnostic atheists at first. Then, often times, theism is taught to us or even worse, indoctrinated into us as the truth.

I was born an atheist just like you and everyone else in the world. I was not brainwashed into theism (though my parents tried) and I remain an atheist to this day and shall always.

And you have interviewed all 6.5 billion people on this planet. I believe in God, the creator of everything, but I cannot assume the thinking of every single person....and so can't you.
