Since I don't believe in organized religion, I figured it would be a good idea to steal a little from every religon, lol jk. But I would like info on them, and not from wikipedia or where ever, I want to talk to actual people from religions like wicca, budhism, satanism, hinduism, taoism, whatever. I'm not sure if there's an actual name for what I'm trying to get into (if u know the name of it plz tell me), basically I just wanna learn about other religions and adopt the things I like from them. Like the whole "desire causes pain" thing from budhism, makes total sense and I remember that everyday, so I wanna know what else is out there. C'mon ppl inspire me!

Buddhists have no god. They show respect to the enlightened ones, the priests and the teachings of the Buddha (enlightened one)

Buddhists generally believe in reincarnation and the aim is to get out of the cycle of birth, death, rebirth. This is called nirvana and can be achieved by total detachment from all earthly and material desires. This is done by following the eightfold path (look this up on the internet). This requires strict self control which may be learned through meditation.

Buddhism is a very pragmatic philosophy that does not rely on blind faith but has explicit reasons for everything they do or believe. As a Buddhist, I do not believe in reincarnation but I try to follow the teachings of the Buddha anyway.

The Eleven Satanic Rules of the Earth

1. Do not give opinions or advice unless you are asked.

2. Do not tell your troubles to others unless you are sure they want to hear them.

3. When in another’s lair, show him respect or else do not go there.

4. If a guest in your lair annoys you, treat him cruelly and without mercy.

5. Do not make sexual advances unless you are given the mating signal.

6. Do not take that which does not belong to you unless it is a burden to the other person and he cries out to be relieved.

7. Acknowledge the power of magic if you have employed it successfully to obtain your desires. If you deny the power of magic after having called upon it with success, you will lose all you have obtained.

8. Do not complain about anything to which you need not subject yourself.

9. Do not harm little children.

10. Do not kill non-human animals unless you are attacked or for your food.

11. When walking in open territory, bother no one. If someone bothers you, ask him to stop. If he does not stop, destroy him.

O servants! Eyes are needed if one is to see, and ears, if one is to hear. Whoso in this blessed Day hath not heard the divine call hath indeed no ear. By this is not meant that bodily ear that is perceived by the eye. Open your inner eye, that ye may behold the celestial Fire, and listen with the ear of inner understanding, that ye may hear the delightsome words of the Beloved.

O servants! If your heart acheth for the Beloved, lo, the remedy is come! If ye have eyes to see, behold, the shining countenance of the Friend hath appeared! Kindle ye the fire of knowledge and flee from the ignorant. Such are the words of the Lord of the world.

does being raised Immanuel Methodist and changing to Celtic PAGAN-CHRISTIAN count.
Most Religions started out as so called Pagan religions. with SUN and MOON worship being the most common form .Followed by worshiping the elements of EARTH,Fire.Air, Water. and Spirit.
SATANISM would be a return to the Jewish/Christian system.

Actually, my practice is based entirely in taking parts from any or all religions and using them as they are needed.

Since it's long and windy, I've written up a basic description here: http://blog.360.yahoo.com/blog-lh_9.p0wdaGWW06CWXdS?p=10

Catholicism is the most diverse religion in the world. It has adherents of every culture and in every country. Even in countries where Catholicism is actually illegal.

(satanist) a common missconseption (please excuse all spelling errors) is that satanisum and devil worship are the same. thair not. we worship no figure only ourselfs you could say, man creates god, man worships god, thairfor he worships himself bi-proxy. we dont hurt people or animals and especally not children, they have the grateist pottental. any ritual is more or less just for fun or slandering. its really only helpfull when what your trying to achive is impossible by other means. i could go on forever but specific questions would be better, mail me if you wish, hippie1210

another one taken from buddhism / meditation

when things do not happen the way you expect them to be despite all your efforts maybe there is a lesson you need to learn from the circumstances, or probably life has a different (many times) better plan for you.
