Although, you don't consider the Bible, Qur'an, Torah, etc. to be inspired writings from God, do you think there is any wisdom in these books, that should be followed in everyday life? Or do you think the books are worthless and should just be ignored?

Hello, my brothers and sisters in Christ and anyone else who has opened up this question. I urge you, nay, beg you to please visit this website called lasttrumpetministries.org This website will really open your eyes up to a lot of things, just like it did me. I was shocked to read the things that I did on there ( everything is backed up biblically) and to see that myself along with some very good Christians that I know have been decieved by the devil on a lot of things. The devil is working overtime to decieve us. Please educate yourselves so that we may refute him. And remember to put on the Armor of God that it talks of in the New Testament! In Christ's sweet love, Cat

P.S. To the yahoo answers team, may God bless you even if you do delete this, like you did the last one.

Technologically we are advanced, but as a community are we still behind? We stereotype men of faith being nothing but ignorant, maybe there is a reason why they are men of faith (or women sorry!), and maybe there is a reason why faith is increasing? We sterotype Mulim men and women as terroist, all of them. However there are about 1billion muslims in the world and only a bunch of people are doing not very smart things such as holding up banners saying "Our faith is peaceful, die who does not agree" (Something like that). However religious men also target Atheists. Yes I agree some people may find the muslim veil a bit too much, but put yourself in their shoes, they find you a bit too much. Its not only religions and atheism, colour is targeted too, also ethnicity! People in the west are scared of people with these charicteristics black, Islamic, women (not scared but still are 'against' them). My teacher is absolutely scared of a white christian middle-aged man.(see below)

I don't mean: Which created universe?
I wonder the existence of which is easier and more rational to believe, since both has no proof (which satisfies everyone) for their existence and we can only "believe" that they exist..

Sorry I could only fit monotheism in...enjoy!

Judaism:
He that can't endure the bad, will not live to see the good.

As he thinks in his heart, so he is.

What you don't see with your eyes, don't invent with your mouth.

Christianity:
"Am I not destroying my enemies when I make friends of them?"

"By wisdom a house is built, and through understanding it is established; through knowledge its rooms are filled with rare and beautiful treasures."

"It is the property of fools, to be always judging

"Better a dry crust with peace and quiet than a house full of feasting, with strife."

Islam:
What hurts the soul? To live without tasting the water of its own essence.

Come, come whoever you are
Wonderer, worshipper, lover of leaving.
Ours is not a caravan of despair.
Come, even if you have broken your vow 1000 times
Come, yet again, come, come.

Seriously, I wanna know your opinion. I've heard people mocking several religions for their ideas that people can become immortal after death, even becoming angels or gods and yet, when I say that humans are simply beings of flesh and blood I get criticised.

So, are we mortal or do we hold potential of becoming "divine"? Please give your own opinion and reason therefor.

said the devil to Jesus in the movie "passion"
However, Jesus paid the price. Should we pay the price of saving our friends and dear people?

If he is able to create such a rock he is impossible to lift such a rock.
If he is not able to create such a rock he is impossible to create such a rock.
In both case God is unable to do one thing.

Well call me sad for thinking so deeply into this issue but, im only suggesting, maybe the bad dont go to hell, i am a good person, i will never be able to kill anybody, i hope to go to heaven, but if somebody kills 50 people, they were supposed to kill 50 people, they were clearly built to be able to do such a thing, so why go to hell for doing what you are supposed to do, or what is in your nature to do, god clearly made you that way. Understand what i am saying, this isn't my view, im just suggesting, thanks for reading!

Shouldnt you as a person know your own faith... Is this just another way of fitting in with the croud you do it because you see someone else doing it. I know thats why I used things to represent my faith when I was less educated about spirituality then I am now. Hell I didnt even know what the word ment back in the day... Now I understand that wearing something to prove my faith is like saying ill buy my way into heaven...

I ask this out of all seriousness. I just listened to a lecture by an ex-con (he swindled retirement funds from old people) who "found" Jesus while in prison. He basically stated that, while in prison, he accepted Jesus as his savior and repented for his sins therefore he is at peace with God and can go to heaven.

My question is is repentance really fair and is it real? After all, because of him, there's probably still some poor senior out there who is living out the last years of his life in poverty. Therefore, where's the justice in a person like him going to heaven just because he repented while a nonbeliever, who has not ruined an old person's life, go to hell?

If someone murdered you brother with a gun, would you go around wearing guns around your necks etc.? You beleive that Jesus was crucified, so consider the return of Jesus, would he want to be reminded of that horrible incident he experienced, I wouldn't want to see my friends wearing symbols of my torture etc. - I beleive that Jesus, was NOT crucified, or tortured.

BTW:
The Islamic beleif basically ends where Mel Gibsons movie begins, so, Mel just made a kewl movie about the punishment of the man that betrayed jesus.
