You mean like the lesser of two evils?

*additional* Cold doesn't exist? What exists? Heat and the absence of heat? And... so... there's good and the absence of good?

the con-cept of good is good ton others
the lessor good is to self
lesser good is more well known because we start to experiment with the concept of goodness upon our selves
i wish you had of explained more on your particular revelation but appriciate the con-sept of answers format allows only question not revelations that can be expounded by others
collusivly it would have been better if you had of explained,
before we all get too much older
or go with the faith someone else knows what you mean
higher good is not more well known because lesser good is a judgement call?

It was recently that a friend helped me learn that everything is good. I still hope to learn and realize it more.

We are often unable to understand that what we perceive as "evil" is actually good. It is a struggle to attain purity and righteousness, and that struggle involves overcoming what may be perceived as "evil." Later, we see the good results of having struggled, finally realizing that everything was good.

The holiest people encountered much difficulty in life, but did not consider their circumstances to be "evil." They were patient, humble, and steadfast in Faith; the difficulty they encountered produced only good results.

It's easier to compare two distinct opposites.

I must disagree though, as I see black and white, not shades of gray. If you look close enough, they are _very_ distinct.

Besides, so long as there is even a little good, it's better than no good. Even though that still doesn't negate presence of evil.

everybody has its own capability for good. It is not easy to be better than others.
You need true definition of good. What if some 'lesser Good' proof to be more usefull to people and society in long run than higher Good that shines just one day?

That's right - evil is an absence of good. And, whether people admit it or not, morality is always relative. That is why so many people misunderstand the Old Testament.

Are you thinking of the Utilitarian principle? That of deciding what to do based on the greater good. That is, whatever benefits the most people should get preference.

This is an example of relativitism.

The truth is good people would WANT to nurture lesser good people to greater goodness.
