Sorry I could only fit monotheism in...enjoy!

Judaism:
He that can't endure the bad, will not live to see the good.

As he thinks in his heart, so he is.

What you don't see with your eyes, don't invent with your mouth.

Christianity:
"Am I not destroying my enemies when I make friends of them?"

"By wisdom a house is built, and through understanding it is established; through knowledge its rooms are filled with rare and beautiful treasures."

"It is the property of fools, to be always judging

"Better a dry crust with peace and quiet than a house full of feasting, with strife."

Islam:
What hurts the soul? To live without tasting the water of its own essence.

Come, come whoever you are
Wonderer, worshipper, lover of leaving.
Ours is not a caravan of despair.
Come, even if you have broken your vow 1000 times
Come, yet again, come, come.

I strike with chatisement whom I will, but my mercy embraces all things

I think it is intelectually dishonest to ask the question and then "only fit monotheism in." For shame.

I think we should look at all of the accumulated "wisdom" of others and then look at it through a lens of reason and rationality, and come to a decision based on that. It is not important or worth respect JUST BECAUSE people believe it. If it is important or worth respect then it will not fail under intense scrutiny.

Hey, bud,

Interesting point, but just because a system of thought makes a few good points, that doesn't validate the whole system. Sometimes those who otherwise believe in complete bullcrap make a solid observation.

I say distill the wisdom from every tradition and leave the rest.

I appreciate wisdom but it certainly exists sans the useless mythology and blind faith. I say keep the wisdom and lose the worthless parts.
