Shouldnt you as a person know your own faith... Is this just another way of fitting in with the croud you do it because you see someone else doing it. I know thats why I used things to represent my faith when I was less educated about spirituality then I am now. Hell I didnt even know what the word ment back in the day... Now I understand that wearing something to prove my faith is like saying ill buy my way into heaven...

I wear a wedding ring, even though I know I'm married.
I wear a mother's ring with my kids names engraved on it, even though I know I'm a parent and I'm not going to for get their names anytime soon.
I wear a birthstone ring, even though I know which month I was born in.
It's a personal expression, just as anything else you wear is - but it means something important to the wearer.

Well, I wear a pentagram to show my devotion to Wicca, not to remind me that I'm Wiccan. And the pentagram and rede tattoos I have on my back are for the same purpose - to indicate that I'm Wiccan and will always be Wiccan, not to remind myself that I'm Wiccan (how can they when they're on my back?). A tattoo is for life, as is my spiritual path, hence the inking.

Just a little judgemental!

Personally, I don't wear jewelry of any kind (like I don't need to wear a wedding ring to remind myself that I'm married) but I don't condemn those who do.

I am not sure I share your view that it is to remind them of their faith. It is more to advertise it. One of the tendencies of people suffering form schizoid delusional mental disorder is to find comfort in seeing that they are not alone with this disorder.
The good news is that Zyprexa is an efficient treatment for this disorder and it can help people that want to get rid of it.

I personally see nothing wrong with identifying with one's belief and/or faith. The truth, however, will come only when believers are persecuted. May God bless us all!

it's not really to remind them of their spirituality as much as to tell others. like ok i used to wear a cross and it started some good conversations with people. it's not to buy yourself into heaven by any stretch. thanks for reminding me dude, i need to get a new cross! haha
