Especially the ones that have McDonalds, starbucks, and crispy creme donuts...It is downright awful that there are starving people out there and children who will not have a Christmas, and these people are spending multi-million dollars building these ludicrous and extravagent theme parks.

What makes it even worse is that these people who call themselves "Christians" Love these things!

Am I the only one getting it or does anyone else see this? What's your thought?

Its seems to me that whenever some tramatic even happens, people who didnt even believe in religion, are suddenly drawn the Christianity because they think God saved them. How come it cant of been a god from another religion, why is it always Christianity?

I am an ancestral worshiper. We kill cows, pigs and chickens as offering to our ancestors.

Will the WA airport allow me to hang a dead chicken & pig there for a couple week? It is part of my religion!

Ina public shcool history class on the constitution the teacher had said things like

Quoting an article "Shortly after school began in September, the teacher told his sixth-period students at Kearny High School that evolution and the Big Bang were not scientific, that dinosaurs were aboard Noah's ark, and that only Christians had a place in heaven, according to audio recordings made by a student whose family is now considering a lawsuit claiming Mr. Paszkiewicz broke the church-state boundary.

"If you reject his gift of salvation, then you know where you belong," Mr. Paszkiewicz was recorded saying of Jesus. "He did everything in his power to make sure that you could go to heaven, so much so that he took your sins on his own body, suffered your pains for you, and he's saying, 'Please, accept me, believe.' If you reject that, you belong in hell." "

A student is suing the teacher for these comments. Is he right?

Are people who are less educated more prone to being converted to a Christianity that believes the Bible is the last word, than people with a higher education (i.e. doctors, lawyers, scientists)? If so, or if not, why?

K, clarifaction when I say God I mean the Old Testament God.

God: Jealous, kills many, many people, including two for burning the wrong incense, including all of humanity except for Noah and his buddies.

Jesus: Compassionate. Helps those that don't believe. Resurrects at least a couple of people, even though God never did. Isn't a stickler for rules and set guidelines.

If you've read the bible, I don't have to spell it out for you, the God Moses and others speak of has almost the exact opposite charcterisitcs of Jesus.

If God is never changing (I'm sure that's in the bible somewhere) how come he's so different when he comes down as Jesus?

Jesus uses that phrase all the time. But what is he talking about? This life or the next? What is it?

Canceling Christmas would make all the gays, Jews, Atheist and Muslims happy

No one seems to be complaining about Hanukah, so we should just make Hanukah a national holiday. I would still get my vacation.

Are you like a drug user and feel better when you have others like you around? Are you worried about the poor souls of others drowning in hell while being forced to eat adorable kitten poo for all eternity? Does your religion fail without 100% acceptance? Do you get "a** pirate" points for every convert when you reach heaven? Are you a brown noser? Are you a Jesus pet?

Seriously, why to Christians feel they need to convert Muslims? Why do Muslims feel the need to convert Christians? Even the Jews are getting in on the action (people are now allowed to convert because numbers are dwindling).

Is it arrogance? Is it pettiness? Are they just ankle-biting morons? Yes, yes, the Bible and the Quran say to spread the word of the lord...but, why do you care if someone believes differently than you? No really, why? What is the need?

This is sorta about a relationship, but this is what happened. I think my gf has some really big issues that were given to her some time ago, but these issues get in the way of us having a more serious relationship. I met her for breakfast, told her exactly what I was thinking and how I wanted us to both let go of our pasts. She didn't really respond like I had hoped. But anyways, I am driving home, frustrated and agitated, driving up my street. I said just a little prayer asking that I be given some sort of sign about what I should do. No joke or exaggeration: no more than 2 seconds after that a squirrel ran into the road and I ran over it but didn't flatten it but definitely broke its back and I saw it crawl back off the side of the road. Honestly, I about lost it right then and there. If that's a sign, what do you think it meant?

Why do wonders, miracles and all not to explain things mostly happend in areas with mostly catholic population?
Like Italy, Spain, France, Mexico etc? Did you ever hear of any wonders in countries like: Sweden, Norway, Denmark etc?
Do Catholics have a stronger imagination? But if it would be imagination, then it woul not be a wonder no more. Are Protestants "not good" enough to have wonders?

I mean what do you do sit there and think "Hmmmmmmm what to believe a logical theory based entirely on mounds of scientifically analysed mutually supporting evidence that makes sound logical sense and has been repeatedly tested and seen to be true. Or a scientifically inaccurate contradictory bronze age work of fiction that has been edited many times though history? Hmmmm It's got to be the Bronze Age fiction." What can make you so stupid?

I like everything about church except for the religion. I like the sense of community, and getting to know one's neighbors. I like the celebration of life. I like the works of charity and seeing what we can accomplish together in our community. I just don't want to have to subscribe to some ancient dogma to have all this. If there were a "church" or weekly community gathering that was totally secular in your area, would you go? (I was thinking of starting something like this.)

i got with a woman that was married and had a daughter with her husband. she left him for me. we lasted seven years and never married but, had two kids together. i got into drugs and alcohol and she cheated on me a few times. about a month and a half ago she told me that we were over and she wanted me to leave. i found out she was having sex with a mutual friend. since then i have given my life to God. i have totally changed my life. as of right now she hasn't changed and she doesn't want to get back with me but, i don't want to go back to her if she asks me to because she hasn't changed and i don't want this hurt ever again. also, i'm a little nervous of going back to my old ways. we have two kids together so if she asks for me back and i say no......how does God look at that? what should i do? try to make it work for the kids or just keep moving on? thanks everyone and merry christmas to you all.
