This would signal the end of the Catholic church as we know it, Christ founded the church on man and this relates to Adam who was first created and had authority over Eve the woman, and as Jesus is the new Adam, He give His own authority to Peter thus continuing the Adamic line of succession, but the promise given to Peter and His successors is that the gates of Hell shall not prevail against His church.

I think there will only be one more pope and then the end, so I don't see a female becoming pope.

Ok, so the pope is female. Does the gender really have anything to do with the role. While the catholic church doesn't recognize women as leaders, the truth is the role would be the same.
The only time male/female comes into play is is in sexual context.

Yep, not a possibility. God is extremely sexist, and would never allow a mere woman to hold any power in the church.
1 Corinthians chapter 14:
"As in all the congregations of the saints, women should remain silent in the churches. They are not allowed to speak, but must be in submission, as the Law says. If they want to inquire about something, they should ask their own husbands at home; for it is disgraceful for a woman to speak in the church."
Oh, SNAP! Women can't even SPEAK in church! How about outside of church?
1 Timothy chapter 2:
"Let a woman learn in silence with all submissiveness. I permit no woman to teach or to have authority over men; she is to keep silent."
Wow, I guess that means that most teachers are going against God's will and should be put to death. Bummer.
In Ephesians 5:22-24 we find this:
"Wives, submit to your husbands as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior. Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything."
So I guess that means that not only will a woman never become Pope, but the religious masses should keep women out of any position of power. In fact, any female on this forum that argues with a man is going against God's will and should be put to death, right?
That IS what the bible says, in a completely straightforward way. Isn't it silly?

There was a female pope. She lasted about a year before getting pregnant. Pope Joan, 14th century I believe. There are books about it.

The force that holds the universe together would immediately collapse and the entire world would have to be subject to continuous Barry Manilow music.

It will never happen. The laws of the church forbid it. Sad, huh?
