With Miracles being a sign that Jesus himself was whom he claimed to be. We have John the Baptist in prison about to died, and he sent two of his disciples to Jesus asking if he was the one, or should we look for another.

Notice what Jesus says to John in Matthew 11:4-6; Jesus answered and said unto them, Go and show John again those things which ye do hear and see:

The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them.

And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me.

And even many of the Prophets of the Old Testament, performed Miracles as well.

So why not Muhammad?

Is sticking your fingers in your ears while gleefully and loudly saying 'lalalalalalalala' a prerequisite to baptism?

start believing in things that make no sense and continue to use the brain that your god gave us we're doomed forever? Are you also saying that god both gave us the ability to reason but will condemn us if we do?

im 16 and fed up with it already. I used to take O.T scriptures not litterally and i would take the deeper meaning from it. I put a question about it and got called 'a non believer.' It seems like the church is just digging in our pockets to pay off families of sexual abuse victims. Mass doesnt make any sense to me. What religions dont follow O.T. scripture and just focus on N.T. scripture?

We are human beings, right? If yes, then why we are not following humanity. We say that we are Muslims, Christians, Hindus, Jews, Sikhs, Catholics etc etc. But why we do not say that we are human beings? OK, religions are at their own place, humanity do not disturb them, so why we cannot live like human beings? That's a different thing that we are the followers of different religions. I'm not saying to leave your religions, but why we do not follow the humanity. We hurt someone but we forget that we are too human beings and we can also get pain. which religion teaches that leave all of other human beings and just think about your own religion, and just do well with the people of you own religion. If you're agree with me then please spread this message to your neighbors, relatives, friends and to as much people as you can. I need your comments and a short answer that if we are human beings than why we are not living like human beings?

Well it seems that there is in this world. People are forgetting about the true facts ov life and they do rather go to santa clause and jesus, so to help themselves to cope to reality.

Old testament stories are not to be taken literally sorry to tell you (I am a Catholic.) They are representations for lessons you should be learning by reading them. for example: JONAH AND THE WHALE I take from the story, If you stay strong and keep relying on God he will help you. Most catholics take from the story, wow how did that guy live in the whales stomach for so long? Think about that people. I want you opinions, not personal attacks towards me.

I am 16 and attend church every sunday. I believe in god and jesus but sleep the whole hour through mass. It is so boring or at least the priests at my parish make it boring. The songs are written funny (i only sing during the christmas mass i like the xmas songs), i dont understand what the priest is talking about in the homily, and i dont feel as if i am in a holy place. Basically i think going to sunday mass is a waste because i dont leave with anything or feel any better about my bond with god after i leave. Does anyone else feel this way?

The old testament stories (creation, noahs ark, cain and able, etc.) did not occur the way they are described. Ex: When it says 'God made man from dirt,' the author of Genesis is trying to help the Jewish people of the time understand creation. We are to take the meanings from these stories and use them in our lives, not sit around and question how Jonah could have lived in the stomach of a big fish.

Okay, God is the creator of EVERYTHING. Everything that exists has to be the creation of God. Therefore, Evil is a creation of God.

I know i know i know, Satan created evil. But God created something that could create it. Satan could not create something that god has not created. If satan could have created this, that meens he has enough power to create something equally as powerful as god. A force the exact opposite as god. This defy's christain logic. Even in this odd sense, God created something that could surpass his ability's and create something he has never made before. And knowingly create evil.

This opens another paradox. Why would he create something that would create such evil, knowing that it would cause such harm. IT DOSNT MAKE SENSE!

God had to of created evil, because he is the creator of everything. Nothing can be created w/o his ability. Still dosnt make sense.

It seams he could have at least used Gold or Silver maybe diamonds to put a spark in our eyes. I can't believe I was made out of dirt. He could have made us out of snow. At least that would have been better than dirt wouldn't it?

Hello, I am a relatively new Buddhist who is still broadening himself in Buddhism and learning the many teachings of the Buddha.

Over my studied I have come across many teachings that encourage to avoid violence at all costs.

I was at the bowling alley last night, and a drunk man was starting to get rough with his girlfriend. I thought this behavior was very out of line, so I tried to step in and calm things down. Unfortunately, he had other plans. He came at me, I tried to inflict as little pain as possible to him(I study Aikido), while I could get some help in immobalizing him, but it still made me question to what limits we should abide to.

I thank anyone who shares their wisdom.
