Have u really read the Bible?
#For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if [it were] possible, they shall deceive the very elect.# Matthew 24:24
The prophet Muhammad didn't give back life to the dead, he didn't heal those leper and blind. . In Matt 24:24, the false prophet will show u miracles, but the prophet Muhammad pbuh didn't perform miracle. He must be the true prophet bcoz he can't produce any miracle. And why do u seek for the miracles? Jesus said that miracles are not the prove that someone is send from the God. Because if false Christ can do miracles, if false prophet can do wonders, it means that miracles are not the proves.
According to the Bible, John the Baptist is the greatest prophet. yet, he didn't perform any miracles. Show me what he did? Quotations are appreciated.
Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will sent him unto you. And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment. ... I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now. How be it when he, the Spirit of truth is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak.. and he will show you things to come. He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall show it unto you.#
John 16:7-14
Can't u see? Jesus talked about the coming of the prophet Muhammad pbuh.
'he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment."
Muhammad pbuh came with a scripture called the Quran. In the Quran God said don't drink alcohol, don't take interest, don't eat pig, u must fast, u must pay zakat(an amount of money/liability given to the poor) and many more. Isn't that what Jesus meant when he said the spirit of Truth will reprove the world of sin, righteousness and judgement. "I have yet many things to say..."
So why Jesus didn't say at that time?
Jesus pbuh said, "U cannot bear it now" So Jesus said the Jews cannot bear all the do's and don't's at that time. So the God sent Muhammad pbuh to reprove the world. Drinking at that time was common for the Jews. So if Jesus said "U can't drink alcohol" at that time, the Jews won't accept him.
But at the time of Muhammad pbuh, the people are ready, so the God sent Muhammad pbuh to say, "U can't drink alcohol". And they(Muslim) followed it.
"He shall glorify me". The Quran glorified Jesus peace be upon him. See? Even when i wrote the word Jesus I put 'peace be upon him'.
"He shall receive of mine". See? The Quran is very much similar to the Bible. It has stories about Adam, Abraham, Jonah, Moses and many more (peace be upon them). The Christians said that Quran was plagarised from the Bible. Don't they read the Bible. Jesus said that the Comforter will bring a new scripture similar to the Bible. "He shall receive of mine and he shall show unto them"

Muhammad(pbuh) performed so many miracles as other Holy Prophets of Almighty, performed.
But those miracles were gone with the time. Like miracles of other prophets, those miracles were with that time. No physical prove except stories in scriptures are only evidence.
God Almighty gave Muhammad (pbuh) miracle of miracles, that is Qura'n.

Reading your question and the answers so far I see another bunch of yo-yos misinterpreting the Gospel again and forget some Sunday school lessons.
Every prophet was given a special talent -
Moses was to lead the Jews to the Promise Land, not to enter it himself; John the Baptist was to baptist everyone in God's name until he baptised Jesus and then he was finished; and Jesus was to deliver the miracles to gain his followers. All of them went thru many hardships and lost family members and friends along the way.
So did Muhammed, who bound hundreds of Middle Eastern warring tribes of idolators to believe in the one true God and become brothers - and that sure wasn't easy considering what he had to go thru to do it. -
Now do we all understand what prophets have to do?
Ask yourself this:
If God spoke to you, would you sacrifice your life, your family and friends to go forth and prove the God's existance in today's world to the atheists, hindus, buddists, idolators, wiccans, voodooers, etc.?
Then dont criticize those who did so before you....

In the Quran the only miracle Muhammad claims to have performed is creating the Quran itself.
So my question is, if he could not perform a miracle, was God really behind him?
Although the Hadiths claim he performed miracles though they are pretty radical. Such as cutting the moon in half, spurting water from his fingers. etc. I find those hard to believe.

all the stories of miracles r myths
but all the prophets were divine because of the love they'd for all incl their enemy
and that's nothing to do with the religion named after them - that's just religious politics
u can still c miracles done by tricksters in evening shows

Hes a false prophet. All the prophets spoke to God directly and muhammad talked to an angel who changed what all the prophets wrote. He never even worshipped God as a Christian or a Jew or read the scriptures or listened to any of the same prophets he said he respects because he was illiterate and from a pagan town. The anti-Christ will perform miracles, even witches can do signs. If any prophet is wrong on a prophesy he is put to death. Muhammad's version of God is wrong and innacurate and not mentioned in the Torah or the gospels. Hes an obvious fake.

Muhammed had no power because he rejected Jesus as the Son of God.....thus he never had the Holy Spirit..
"Ye shall receive power after the Holy Ghost is come upon you and ye shall be witnesses unto me" - Jesus

Very Good question, he did perform Miracles,
In the Name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
[054:001] The Hour has drawn near, and the moon has been cleft asunder (the people of Makkah requested Prophet Muhammad [Peace Be Upon Him] to show them a miracle, so he showed them the splitting of the moon).
[054:002] And if they see a sign, they turn away and say: "This is continuous magic."
[054:003] They denied (the Verses of God – this Qur'ân) and followed their own lusts. And every matter will be settled (according to the kind of deeds, good deeds will take their doers to Paradise, and similarly evil deeds will take their doers to Hell).
[054:004] And indeed there has come to them news (in this Qur'ân) wherein there is (enough warning) to check (them from evil),
[054:005] Perfect wisdom (this Qur'ân), but (the preaching of) warners benefit them not.
[054:006] So (O Muhammad [Peace Be Upon Him) withdraw from them. The Day that the caller will call (them) to a terrible thing.
(V.54:1) Narrated Anas [May God be Pleased with Him]: The people of Makkah asked the Prophet [Peace Be Upon Him] to show them a sign (miracle). So he showed them (the miracle) of the cleaving of the moon. [Sahih Al-Bukhari, 6/4867 (O.P.390)]
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[030:016] And as for those who disbelieved and denied Our Ayât (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, God's Messengers, Resurrection, etc.), and the Meeting of the Hereafter, such shall be brought forth to the torment (in the Hell-fire).
[030:017] So glorify God [above all that (evil) they associate with Him (O believers)], when you come up to the evening [i.e. offer the (Maghrib) sunset and ('Ishâ') night prayers], and when you enter the morning [i.e. offer the (Fajr) morning prayer].
[030:018] And His are all praise and thanks in the heavens and the earth; and (glorify Him) in the afternoon (i.e. offer 'Asr prayer) and when you come up to the time, when the day begins to decline (i.e. offer Zuhr prayer). (Ibn 'Abbâs said: "These are the five compulsory congregational prayers mentioned in the Qur'ân.") (Tafsir At-Tabari)
[030:019] He brings out the living from the dead, and brings out the dead from the living. And He revives the earth after its death. And thus shall you be brought out (resurrected).
[030:020] And among His Signs is that He created you (Adam) from dust, and then [Hawwâ' (Eve) from Adam's rib, and then his offspring from the semen, and] – behold, you are human beings scattered!
[030:021] And among His Signs is that He created for you wives from among yourselves, that you may find repose in them, and He has put between you affection and mercy. Verily, in that are indeed signs for a people who reflect.
[030:022] And among His Signs is the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the difference of your languages and colours. Verily, in that are indeed signs for men of sound knowledge.
[030:023] And among His Signs is your sleep by night and by day, and your seeking of His bounty. Verily, in that are indeed signs for a people who listen.
[030:024] And among His Signs is that He shows you the lightning, for fear and for hope, and He sends down water (rain) from the sky, and therewith revives the earth after its death. Verily, in that are indeed signs for a people who understand.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
(V.30:23) It is a sign from among the Signs of God that a person goes to sleep; the medical world up to now does not know exactly why a person goes to sleep. There are only theories. So this Qur'ân is a miracle from God, and not an invented tale as the disbelievers (in the Oneness of God) argue.
