have you ever prayed for something that would only benefit yourself? almost like a spell.

haha don't feel bad for me, this was a long time ago. and i'm sure the prayer had nothing to do with the break up but it made me think about how people use prayer. she was very religious.

All prayers are spells and all spells are intended to only be used for benefit.

Apparently she misinterpreted "benefit" as meaning only her "benefit." Using prayer to purposefully hurt or damage anything or anyone is just wrong on all kinds of levels.

Yes, people have selfish prayers like that, that is why God doesn't answer them. If I prayed for Julia to die, would he be cruel enough to follow my sadistic wishes and kill her? Sure, she can be an ***, but she is still lovely in the eyes of God.

no, and I don't believe God answers selfish prayers that are not in line with his will for our lives. You don't bribe or tempt God, and you don't play him for a fool. Her prayer was not in my opinion an appropriate prayer.....and God does not always answer yes, however perhaps if your boyfriend is with her it is because they deserve each other and there is someone better for you. It could be your blessing in disguise. I'd go with that.

even though this chick prayed for your breakup, doesn't mean you shouldn't show love to her. you should. and as for the actual quetion, i don't know if i have or not. i might have but just can't remember, but are you sure that she specificaly prayed that you would break up, or did she pray for God's will to be done about this situation. because it may just have been his will for you two to break up, ya know what i mean.even though God does his will and we have no say in it, doesn't mean we still shouldn't ask for his will to be done. maybe you two where ment to be broken up. have you ever thought this was for some lesson from God? makes ya wonder

That is nothing, the bible says we can pray for people to be covered in running sores, weaping boils, to have leprosy, to die and whatever else we want. But it might cost more than just two dove for the priests sacrifice.

God answers prayers according to His perfect will. If you broke up it wasn't because of her 'prayer'; it was because it wasn't meant to be. God has someone more suited to you in mind.

Blessings!

Nope. I rarely pray for anything specific. I usually just pray for guidance, wisdom and strength. I do pray that God will keep my children safe.

There's a lot of people out there who see God as their own personal 'step-n-fetchit', but I think they miss the whole point of why we're here or who God is to us... and who we are to God.

God doesnt answer the prayers of non-believers or to do malice. Gods will prevails anyway. Dont worry about her prayers. God is just :)
