I actually started off in public school and then began homeschooling just before high school. I feel that it prepared me way more than public school even attempted to. I learned things that I really needed to learn, like financing and how to really make the best of what I want to do with the rest of my life. I didn't go to a university because I didn't feel the need to go just because that's what comes after high school. I saw it as not such a wise investment even though people told me to go because it was "good". I am now an assistant in my parents' business, a chiropractic assistant, and a nanny to two beautiful children to keep me busy. If I had stayed in public school, I probably would have gone to a university and wondered, "now what do I do?" I feel that it prepared me very well.

I am a christian and I was raised in a secular humanist household. I became born again after I became pregnant out of wedlock, married my boyfriend and had a small child that I realized was being held hostage by my destructive lifestyle. I have had a complete peace since I received Christ and my husband also recieved Christ a year after I had. Now we are raising our children according to our faith.
I went to public school. I tried to homeschool for a year and a half and I found there wasn't enough resources for my child to prepare them for real life. Not in my community. In others I imagine there is much more and I'm an advocate for homeschooling and have heard that homeschooled children grow up and do very well, are better adjusted, do better academically and overall are healthy happy well adjusted people.

I went to public schools... Never went to a university.. I work with disabled adults..
I dont think anything prepares you for adult life.. You still make plenty of mistakes but at least you can call upon the LORD to forgive you and to help you through your lives.. Its best to allow HIM to lead your life then for us to do it alone..

I homeschooled my children but only did it for 3yrs since I got saved when they were already well into their school years. My experience with other homeschoolers, though, was that the children were usually a couple of yrs ahead of their peers.
BTW What's with MAN'S same answer for every question?

I wasnt homeschooled but I know someone who was. From my poimt of view, she lacks in social skills. She interupts, shes self centered, doesnt shower regularly, and thinks all of this is ok. She also believed at 17 she should get married and pregnant, and did. Her Mom signed for her. She didnt want to go to school, get a job, party, etc. ...... (things normal 17 year old want to do). She has real problems.

I am currently being homeschooled, (I'm seventeen) and I think I've received a well-rounded education and a healthy grasp of societal norms.

I was kind of home schooled.
Hated it...later in life it tripped me up badly, until after years of problems....I finally learnt 'how' to mix with people, and talk correctly!
From 13 to 18..........no real friends.....no school.
