I am interested in knowing the difference between the different kinds of wicca (i.e. traditional and contemporary and eclectic) and what hte difference is between all of that from pagans. I want to know so that i can decipher which one i am more into so i can read more on that, if that makes any sense? I'm going to barnes and noble in an hour and would like to know..any suggestions on any good books that is dealing with this subject?

for those able to project...why do you keep saying you feel a sense of peace when if i found myself floating up the ceiling and looking down at my own body i would have literally peed my pants(if that is possible while im floating)...dont you find it scary?

Do you take your pets to the vet?
You beleive that God heals everything right? Then does your dog have to be like baptized to be healed by god?
and has it ever occured to you that God may have told people to invent medicine so that he doesn't have to go around curing people all the time?

has free will, then why did he/she feel the need to create us? An omnipotent being would have no need or desire (those are human traits). This is a question about what would motivate an all powerful being to do anything. I find it hard to believe that god would create a universe full of beings to gaulk at his/her creation and offer their pathetic forms of praise to him/her - what satisfaction would this bring to an omnipotent being? My thought is; that we are here out of god's necessity to achieve the only pursuit concievable that would stir a notion of interest in an omnipotent being: that would be to make oneself, nonexistent. This would explain the reality that we live in as being comprised of infinite forms of being existing in an everchanging state for eternity. So, what motivated god to create conscious states of being (i.e. us, the universe, etc.)?

One day I was listening to the ramblings of a religious zealot (you know how they love to ramble about jesus and god and unconditional love [with the condition that you believe in them so you don't go to hell that is]) and i actually got physically sick and threw up all over the floor. A few years ago I pretty sure i read a verse that said God knew the child would be evil so he killed the child while it was still in the womb. I'm not sure but I think it was in exodus. Does anyone know where i can find it?

there are too many "christians" here that are making my belief sound like it is one without sense. this is going on too often in our country, so why allow it here? i propose that we formulate a coherency test. before you are allowed to get a screen name to actively support Christianity on this site, you should be given that coherency test. if you pass, you may participate in this site, and if you fail, you may not.

(i think that other beliefs should get in on this too, so the entire forum is all coherent people!)

the test would be composed of fundamental questions of the beliefs of Christianity. After all, if you claim to be a Christian, you should not be allowed to say things that's that go against the Christian text.

all whom agree say yea. all opposed say nay. all incoherent people say "there isn't anything worth debating in the bible, you're stupid."
