This woman, although she has never accepted the Lord as her savior, and has been law -abiding, friendly, will in all likelihood not go to heaven. The serial rapist on the other hand, who has broken every commandment, accepts the Lord as his savior just before his execution, and ends up in heaven. Please explain.

John 5:30
Jesus (pbuh) says:"I can of my own self DO NOTHING"

Mark 13:32
No-one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.

Wow so let me get this straight, a weak and powerless god and also NOT an allknowing god? Is this what you believe in?

long before the invention of indoor plumbing when sewage ran through diches of towns and cities, when we could still publicly execute those nasty homosexual abominations, and anybody else we didn't like, and everybody who was allowed to live got along, under God's glory, or were accused of witchcraft and tortured and burned--such beautiful times! Back in the days when a woman could be executed for resisting a rapist, but if she behaved herself and submitted to the attack, she only had to marry the man who had defiled her--I wish we could go back to living by the bible's rules and wash our clothes on the rocks by the riverbed--back before anybody had "rights" to worry about, back when it was accepted that certain people were not good enough to be considered people--isn't this what all christians want? To get back to the basics? To live by the bible?

Just some scriptural reference.
"The community of believers was of one heart and mind, and no one claimed that any of his possessions was his own, but they had everything in common. With great power the apostles bore witness to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and great favor was accorded them all. There was no needy person among them, for those who owned property or houses would sell them, bring the proceeds of the sale, and put them at the feet of the apostles,
and they were distributed to each according to need."
-Acts 4: 32-35"

I was on here, and someone else asked a question pertaining to religion, and I was surprised by all the negative answers that people gave when it came to God, and religion. So I was wondering. What are your views. Do you believe? or is God, and religion some reason that man has created to satiate his needs to know why mankind exists? All answers are welcome. I am not preaching here. Just wondering.

I'm an atheist and a strong believer in equal human rights for everybody.

But for this question I wanted to assume a God exists and that every word in the Bible is true. Which would mean that homosexuality is an abomination to God. Which also means the little part of Christianity that fights firmly against homosexuals would be right.

So, assumption: God exists, is right, and homosexuality is a sin.

Does this situation tolerate the anti-gay movement? Following this assumption would God feel proud about people marching on the streets with signs saying "God hates fags" ? Or would God prefer the more open and friendly way of disagreeing with homosexuality that many other Christians do? Which of these two examples stays closer to the Bible and God?

I am looking for the description of God, because I am confused, if we are made in His image, then where did he come up with the private parts of the sexes? Does He have both gender features of the sexes?

Do you stand up for what you believe or do you just slam the door in their faces? Do you think it’s worth it to try to educate them or do you just let them go on their way? Or do you feel like you don't know enough to argue back and just leave it?Today I got a J-Witness to questions his beliefs..it took about a half an hour of explanation but I know the bible very very well and I also have a firm grasp on reality and history. His partner got very pissed off but I think I planted a seed in his brain. So what do you all do?

From a book,
"Humanity has never really lived up to the teaching given to it. Spiritual impression, whether conveyed by the Christ, by Krishna or by Buddha (and passed on to the masses by their disciples) has not yet been expressed as it was hoped. Men do not live up to what they already know; they fail to make practical their information; they short-circuit the light; they do not discipline themselves; greedy desire and unlawful ambition control and not the inner knowledge.

For those who believe Christ saved us, just remember that Jesus said so himself that those who are of this world will hate you because you are not of this world. You could even expect the majority of people to be opposed to Christianity because of the manacles that the devil has placed on this world. If they hate you they hate Me. Whatever people say always respond with love and integrity.

Well we're all born on this earth to live an approx 70 years before we die, and based upon our faith and actions on earth we all go to Heaven or Hell (according to believers anyway). Seeing as heaven and hell are eternal, i'm guessing earth is just this test set by God to filter the people out? And then once earth blows up that's the end of it all, and there is no longer anymore testing?

When a baby dies, do they go to Heaven or hell? They have had no time to do the test. And if it's based upon baptisim, is that fair? Because it was not to their ability to decide their faith at their age, rather that of their parents...

I found a christian group called christian singles domestic discipline and another one called christian domestic discipline which state that wives or girlfriends should be punished by their man. Punishments include spanking, washing their mouths out with soap, corner time, essay writing, line writing, grounding, restricting their freedoms, etc. How do you feel about this? Is this a good or bad thing?

How do you share the gospel of Jesus Christ? I use the Laws to show people they have sinned against God, just as Jesus did...so they can better understand what salvation is. We are saved by His grace, but the Law is like a mirror to show sin, and it gets to the conscious of man.

It sure looks that way when you read Laviticus 27 thru Numbers 18.
He and his brother's family collected food, and cereal offerings, and even monetary fines for "sins",and also "ransome" for property and people.
He claimed that "God" allowed his family,(the "Priests") to share these things w/ God.
