Sure. I worked in an inner-city university, and was walking to the commuter train via a big dirt parking lot. To one side of the lot was a public housing complex.

When I was half-way across the lot, a hail storm started. Golf-ball sized hail was coming down like rain. Hurt like hell! No cover nearby... I just tried to cover my head with my hand and walked slowly to avoid slipping on all the icy golfballs at my feet.

A guy from the housing project ran all the way out to me with an umbrella, gave it to me, and ran back to his house. I asked what the house number was so I could return the umbrella and did so the next day.

I'd never before been the recipient of random kindness or charity, but it was beautiful.

I have and everyone has experienced the unwarranted kindness of a stranger the trick to to "see it". You see I believe that God works thought people to talk to you it might be just something as simple as a sign or a e-mail from a frinend when you need it but if you really open your eyes you can see it. I myself have adminstored kindness to strangers I am the type of person that tryes to help in what ever way I can. Always believe in Angles and keep you eye open and you will be suprised how many times a day a angle help you.

Many, many times. When I was travelling in Europe many ppl invited me into their homes.

Yup, I return the favor and invite strangers to stay at my home. I give people rides too. I buy gifts for needy families at christmas and lots of things like that.

Strangers have been cruel to me as well. I have been robbed etc. But if we concentrate on the kindnesses we receive, that makes me a better person and the world a better place.

After my divorce, needless to say, I was very broke and had just started a new job. I had paid everything I had money to pay with, then the gas bill came in. My daughter and granddaughter were living with me, and it was winter time.
Some how the people I was working with found out about the gas bill. They went together and gave me the money to pay it.
I didn't know what to say. I was thankful and embarrassed all at the same time, they let me know that it was a gift of love, and not something they expected repayment for.
Yes, it made me more aware of people who are down and out. I have taken the opportunities given me, to pay it back through other people in need.

When we moved in here a year and a half ago I was on a feeding tube. The church across the street was kind enough to give us $100 when they found out I had not been able to work in over a year and we were struggling. Yes, it made me think about doing for others when I got better.

I already was kind to others. but when I was going from Ottawa to Brampton one Christmas eve, I had a transit security officer escort me and my kids hrough the Toronto transit system and stay right with us until we got on the bus to Brampton. I had 3 kids, 12, 7, and newborn, and loads of luggage and it was -35 degrees and snowing really badly. He then called my parents and told them what time the bus would reach the Brampton station so we wouldn't have to wait in the cold.

hmm...no, I never have. But I am still influenced to be kind to strangers. Like just the other day, this dude had some green stuff in his teeth and he was talking to me, and I was like, oh my god, you DISGUST me, go floss your teeth or something. See, only a true friend can tell you this. So..there...I pretended I was his friend, even though he was a stranger. To me.

Nope... Not that I know of? But then again, It is supposed to be done in secret for it to be a blessing...

I have done many things for people without them being aware of who it was that did it. It is the only way to seperate the actual deed from the ego attached to it and make it worth doing for the receiver and the doer.

I have left money in envelopes in peoples mailboxes... Sent things through the mail, donated items to soldiers in Iraq, kids who needed toys. Lots of things...

But I am still waiting on my blessing. and man oh man do I need one.

Definitely. My wife and I were driving cross country and got a flat in the middle of the desert. We didn't know what we were doing, and the jack popped out and dropped our car's axle onto the road. We were totally screwed. And a 70 year old couple from Kansas stopped and rescued us. I was reminded of a Hasidic story: the master said, "Where does the love of God dwell?" And answered himself: "Wherever people let it in."

I was on my way to school once and it was pouring like crazy with rain and I had no umbrella or anything. This young lady who was next to me offered to share her umbrella and then we had a nice chat about stuff. That was really kind, i won't forget her and yeah I think it has influenced me a bit
