I found a christian group called christian singles domestic discipline and another one called christian domestic discipline which state that wives or girlfriends should be punished by their man. Punishments include spanking, washing their mouths out with soap, corner time, essay writing, line writing, grounding, restricting their freedoms, etc. How do you feel about this? Is this a good or bad thing?

Once again, people... Lucky isn't real. Check him out before you waste your time confronting his many fantasies and perversions. Gives all trolls and latents a bad name. You should see his questions that Yahoo yanked..

Domestic discipline is a 'fringe' activitiy in my opinion. I'm guessing that it's only practiced by a small minority of couples. Of those who do practice it, I'm guessing that many of them get a sexual thrill from it. I seriously doubt that many couples use it as true punishment.
Having said that, let me weigh in on your questions:
Should wives or girlfriends be disciplined...? Only if both parties consent to it.
Is DD a good or bad thing? It's unusual, but not inherently good or bad. It might be good for some couples and not others. Again, if both parties consent to it, then I see nothing wrong with it.
How do you feel about DD? It's not for be, but I won't judge others. What consenting adults decide to do in private is their business.

That's the most ridiculous thing I've heard in a while. As a Christian I believe that as an adult, God will discipline his followers in an appropriate way according to whatever was done wrong. Anyone who believes this is right behavior for a Christain man to participate in, has never truly experienced the love of Christ.

Definitely bad, "sexuality mixed with discipline" ?? Hey, to each his own, but shame on anyone trying to pass this of as a Christian concept.
I agree w/evermom.. think of the poor children who are being raised in this type of environment!

The answer is definately "NO"! This sounds more like a cult of some kind than a christian group. Whomever they are, I think they are pretty sick. Couples are supposed to be partners. Would they like it if it were the other way around? I don't think so.

There is no way that I would ever be a member of that organization no matter how Christian they claimed to be. I am married and I adore my husband, he is the priest of our home, but he knows that I should have equal respect . When I have done wrong, I answer to God and God only.

These men tend to be the ones who wind up beating their wives to death, so, no, it should not be allowed. In fact, if some guy hit me, he'd better make sure he killed me with the first blow, because HE'S going to be in a hospital if he doesn't.

Don't confuse them with Christians. Most Christians respect women and love their wives.
