I always wondered the phenomena of Satan and how the devil works in relation to God and humanity. A lot of religious denominations talk about the devil and how he interferes with humanity if this is so, than can there ever be an Anti-Christ? I certainly hope NOT!!!!

my last two questions had nothing to do with feelings of sadness, or gloom? I think that searching is a great thing. I also think that not finding is a great thing. It's about the journey, not the destination. It's not how your life ends, it's how you meet your end. I believe that there is no end. Don't misunderstand me, life is great, life is eternal, and that's why we're here. This is what all the searching is about - we've found it, we're here already. All it takes to live in heaven is a simple realignment of personal perception.

John 3:16 says: For God so loves the world that he gave his only begotten son that anyone just believes in him as the Son of God, he will not be perished but shall have eternal life. So the action is: if anyone wants to have eternal life and God's love he just have to confess his faith in Jesus. Christians hold that Jesus is the Son of God. Unless you have any other names that give that same promise, your choice is only in Jesus. If anyone has the time, he can certainly go on to find some other equivalents. If anyone would not want to waste his time, come and join the Christians. Anyway, this is the guaranteed way. Even the search is wrong, this faith will teach you to cultivate the best attitude or characters that none can shake you not even death. It is even better than the teachings of the best of the world, like Laotzi, Confucius, Buddha, etc. Jesus declares he is the only way. So if there is someone else in heaven, as a Christian, you are always safe. You will not be rejected.

recently, there is a video game out called "Black and White" where you play a God, you can be either evil or good. One consequence to being good is that if you answer every pray and do everything for them, the people become lazy and complacent and expect the God of that video game to solve the problems for them instead of them doing things for themselves.

OKAY, Here's my question...
I know that God does hear me and answers my prayers, but do you think that one reason that God does not give us everything we want is to prevent us from getting into a welfare mentality? By that, I mean that if God answered every prayer we would sit back and expect God to give us everything?

I'm sure I'll hear from the "God is illogical/doesn't exist crowd" but for those of you who do believe in God, could it just be possible that God doesn't answer EVERY prayer the way we want so that we don't get too complacent?

is there any hope at all ?
Please tell me there is
Have you never cried out to God in your darkest hour?
Do you blame God for your troubles?
If you don't believe in God then why do you use his name in vain?
Is there any hope for you?

If someone chooses to believe something that you disagree with, why not just let them believe it? Everyone makes their own choices in life. Why is it important to "save" those around you?

Lets say you die and you're wrong. Suddenly you are in front of G-d and you must explain your unbelief and failure to repent before Jesus. What is your excuse??

Do you think it is good enough that He will accept??

Regardless of religion, what does it take to be knowledgeable enough to speak for your faith? Do you think that reading a single book, or attending a few services qualifies you to debate matters of faith? Or do you think that a certain amount of study might be reqired.

For Christians, didn't Jesus say to "Search ye the scriptures for in them ye think ye have eternal life" or something similar depending on which translation you use. Do you think that simply reading another's translation of scripture is enoug? Do you find a possible value in understanding what the original writers meant?

For Wiccans, do you think that reading "To Ride a Silver Broomstick" is enough? What about other more classical authors?

Other than that, do you think book learning suffices? What about practical experience with your chosen faith?

Who, exactly, is an authority to speak for a faith tradition?

The texts in the previous part of the exercise offered examples that provide insights into the relationship between the self and the Absolute/the Holy/Ultimate Reality. The role of women in religion has often been influenced via such conceptualizations. The medieval theologian Thomas Aquinas in his Summa Theologiae deals with the general conviction based on Aristotle’s teaching (De Gener. ii, 3), that "the female is a misbegotten male." Aquinas concedes that women are “misbegotten” but only with regard to their bodies not souls. He nevertheless argues the inferiority of women in mind and body with regard to men. In which ways has the theological concept of the female as “misbegotten male” historically influenced the role of women in society? Provide at least two examples.

To my understanding at the moment, some or most of the worlds religions do not allow for the fact that there could possibly be another religion or god, therefore two possibilities can arise : either there is only 1 religion and most of the people in the world are condemed to hell for following the wrong religion or there is no religion or god for that matter. Any ideas?

I've been depressed lately. I've been praying about it, but lately it's getting bad. I'm starting to wonder if I should see a doctor and get medication. However, as a Christian I feel guilty. Like I'm not putting enough faith in God? Any thoughts?

black eyes, fat lips, crutches etc. Man oh Man, they must have really gone through the Mill. Maybe that's how we can get through to them is by praying for strength for their guardian angels. What do you think?
