[2.96] And you will most certainly find them the greediest of men for life (greedier) than even those who are polytheists; every one of them loves that he should be granted a life of a thousand years, and his being granted a long life will in no way remove him further off from the chastisement, and Allah sees what they
[2.97] Say: Whoever is the enemy of Jibreel-- for surely he revealed it to your heart by Allah's command, verifying that which is before it and guidance and good news for the believers.

who is this about?

According to the bible, once you commit this sin you can never be forgiving. I knowledgey committed foreign cation and committed adulty in my heart even though somebody showed me the verses in the bible. I told him that I will do bad things now and then I will repent later, which is what I did, and still plan to repent when im older. Did I commit this sin or not. What do you have to do in order to commit it. He says that its going to be alot worse for me becouse I had knowlege before I actually did the sins?

I have come to the conclusion that Islam is the religion that the Bible speaks of when it says, that in the last days many Christians will fall from the faith into a false teaching. Do you think that is Islam?

is that...

about 50% of christians don't even really know near enough about the faith it self to accurately defend it from skepticism,

another 45% know or understand a few of the christian apologetical arguments, but still grossly suspend reason because of their will to believe.

and about 5% of christians are earnest and intellectually honest enough to answer skeptical dissent moderately compitently, yet the issue remain wildly contentious.

and every single one of them think that christianity is very credible.

i think that is silly.

yes/no?

[2.62] Surely those who believe, and those who are Jews, and the Christians, and the Sabians, whoever believes in Allah and the Last day and does good, they shall have their reward from their Lord, and there is no fear for them, nor shall they grieve.

I work for a fortune 500 company and even though I celebrate Christmas, I'm fairly sure that not everyone on my floor does. We have a Christmas tree (giving tree - for donating gifts to needy family) and a couple of "Merry Christmas" banners. I don't have a problem with the tree but I think the banners are a little over the top. I work with a lot of smart people but I'm mystified that some of these smart people apparently don't understand why these displays are not appropriate at work. Why don't we start our business meetings out with a prayer?? When these people push their beliefs of others.... people naturally will want to push back. The attack is defensive and not offensive as the bible thumper would have you believe. Your thoughts?

I read a passage in the Koran, Sura 2. I was wondering if it was refering to Jews or to an unbelievers "the greediest of all men".

I'll get the textual support.

I ask, because so many have answered that there cannot be saints in Heaven now, because they don't see it in their Bibles. Or that the Catholic church is wrong for its knowledge of saint. And so forth.

Would it be better that I hated Israel and mocked the High Holy Days?

I don't understand whats wrong with learning about the OT from a rabbi, celebrating the feasts as Yeshua commanded us, and keeping the Law to the best of my ability.

I don't think I am Jewish. I am not looking to convert any Jews or anyone else.

Why the beef????

Shalom,
David

It saddens me to see people use violence in the name of religion killing other community people and hate other communities because they worship other gods I think if people were different then they would not have same blood groups and the colour of the blood would not be red. I am sure no religion teaches to kill its the misinterpretation of the holy books by the people to justify their actions.
