Count your blessings! The J W's have a perverted version of what they perceive to be God's Word. Sorry if this comes across offensive, but it is true. Most JW's that I know are very kind and considerate; however, they do not know the Jesus of the New Testament which has been preserved by the Church for over 2000 years. They have a religion, but they do not profess the True Jesus Christ.
Jesus Christ is LORD and God. Evident and recognized by all Christians 300 years before the NT Scriptures were canonized.
I am happy to discuss this openly and respectfully via email which is in my profile.

The Scriptures clearly instruct a true worshipper to marry only another true worshipper.
(Exodus 23:32) You are not to conclude a [marriage or other] covenant with them or their gods.
(Deuteronomy 7:3) And you must form no marriage alliance with [unbelievers]. Your daughter you must not give to his son, and his daughter you must not take for your son.
(1 Corinthians 7:39) She is free to be married to whom she wants, only in the Lord.
(Nehemiah 13:25) You should not give your daughters to [the unbeliever's] sons, and you should not accept any of their daughters for your sons or yourselves.
(2 Corinthians 6:14) Do not become unevenly yoked with unbelievers.
The Scriptures also warn against elevating human desires above godly teachings.
(2 Thessalonians 2:1-3) We request of you not to be quickly shaken from your reason... Let no one seduce you in any manner
(Romans 16:17-18) Keep your eye on those who cause ... stumbling contrary to the teaching that you have learned, and avoid them. ...by smooth talk and complimentary speech they seduce the hearts of guileless ones.
(2 Timothy 4:3-5) For there will be a period of time when they will not put up with the healthful teaching, but, in accord with their own desires, they will accumulate teachers for themselves to have their ears tickled... You, though, keep your senses in all things, suffer evil, do the work of an evangelizer, fully accomplish your ministry.

it happens. to his religion you are a worldly woman. don't be offended by it, at least he was honest with you and didn't try to convert you after you dated for 5 months and threatened the relationship to end. THAT would be messed up.
Better luck next time.

They are entitled to their beliefs. He may feel that way. Some people prefer to date within their own religion and that is their right. They may want their children to follow the same religion. My only issue with them is that I don't like them coming to my door.

Well, it all depends on how strict his family and he are about their religion.
My best friend who is one could not date anyone until he turned 16 and his parents had to approve of the girl and her beliefs.

Why is that messed up? He was looking at your mind and not your body. He just needs to be with someone he can relate to spiritually.

some people insist that you have to be the same religion as they are. Almost all religions teach that you have to marry someone of the same religion. Not everybody believe that, however some do. Sorry about your setback.

What religion are you? Ask your own pastor about dating outside the religion and you will get the same answer.
