[2.62] Surely those who believe, and those who are Jews, and the Christians, and the Sabians, whoever believes in Allah and the Last day and does good, they shall have their reward from their Lord, and there is no fear for them, nor shall they grieve.

i see you're getting a lot of bad feed back for no apparent reason. and i'm sorry for that.

i'm glad you are reading the Quran and seeking to understand the context. i'll be happy to explain any thing you don't understand regarding the context of any verse you come across.

you can also e-mail me any question you have. this verse clearly says that those who worship God and do good deeds they will be rewarded.

peace : )

The Bible says that God will draw all of his people out of the false religions before he destroys them and into the safety of the true religion before Armegeddon starts. He knows the hearts of all people but he will not tolerate the fact that a person refuses to seek the truth or justifies the lies in order to do what they want or to make someone else feel better. He has to end these things and he really needs to make the world a better place for those who are willing to follow him through his son, Jesus Christ. Don't you agree??

Know that the religion from God is one. meaning : from the time of Adam the teaching is the same << worship God without any partners and follow the commands >>

so everybody who apply these rules is a believer and will be saved.
Islam means < surrender to the will of God >
so all the prophets submited to God and their followers, so we can call the Muslims.
If we understand this, so those who are jew < in the time of Moses and believed in him and God and followed the commands > are the one talked about. not the one of today. because they didn't follow Jesus, nore Muhammad = they didn't follow the commands.
And those who are Christians are those in the time Jesus who believed in him as a prophet from God a son of men and believed in God and followed the commands and lived that way until they died and until the prophet Muhammad came and surrendred their will are the one talked about. Not the one of today who worship other than God and didn't believe in Muhammadas a prophet from God.

What do I make of it? It's just another paragraph preaching inciteful, corrupting dogma to those not clever enough to understand what dogma is.

It is just another paragraph that will lead us to a religious war.

What is the point? We are all human beings, why do we need to divide ourselves into various beliefs? My only belief is in life itself.
