The gifts that God has given to his church are listen in 1Corinthians 12 these gifts work via the Holy Spirit.
These are spiritual gifts, wisdom thru the spirit, the word of
knowedge, faith, gifts of healing, working of mericals, prophecy,
discerning of spirits, different kinds of tounges, interpretation of tougues. We are not speaking of fruit we are speaking of Gifts.
1 Corinthians 14 pursue love. and desire spiritual gifts, but especially that you may prophesy. So we are instructed to seek the gifts for the building up of the body. This whole chapter is about the use of the gifts and the reason why they are given to the church. But you do not find any of these gifts operating in the baptist faith in these times. You know in the latter times the spirit expressly state there shall come into the church men in sheep clothing who inwardly are ravious wolves. having the outword appearence of Godlyness but lacking the power there of. So my question. Is the baptist apostate???

Christmas is all about jesus, jesus is the reason for the season, jesus gave his life for us that through him we be saved and have eternal life to the fullness. So we are to love one another, help one another, give one another just as he did. Santa did not die for you jesus did. God Bless

I am in charge of decorating at work. Half the workers are jewish and the rest are christian/catholic. Out of respect i want toput up both a tree and a manora. I know chanukah is not until the 15th, so what candles should be on there now? Should it be empty or just put in the center one?

and we just convince ourselves that certain parts are real, or true and other parts are our imaginations or deceptions of the Devil?

What if none of it is true?

Isn't our life just our perception of what our life is anyway?

What if there was never a day that you woke up and you've been asleep your whole life?

What if there is no life?.

What if I'm still laying in bed dreaming about this?

What if my mother is still in labour with me and I haven't been delivered yet?

Atheistic views are attacked on the back of the currency, our kids are forced to recite a pledge we don't agree with (or be ostracized), our federal government is spending money on new churches under the "faith based" banner, a University of Minnesota study found atheists to be the most distrusted minority in the United States, and somehow the religious people have a persecution complex.

Why is that?

Im asking that becasue I see that people are getting agry at others for dissing their beliefs and religions. This page, I believe is here so we can ask questions about religion that we are not sure of and so other people can answer our questions maturely and not offesesively, right? we have churches ... we have services
but there are no books to read from
we have philosophies and healing sections ... followed my mediumship demonstrations....
besides the main religions which i know about ...
do Pagan religions have churches ... books etc that are used during services etc ?
what about other religions along the same lines ?

I have been a Christian by default my entire life. I am now almost 21 and I have been doing some studying of the Bible; I am questioning its validity. I am tired of my beliefs being spoon-feed to me, and I am tired of accepting whatever people give me in God's name. I want to find out what the real truth about God is, and what God wants for me, but it is so difficult because there are so many different religions with different prophets all claiming that God has spoken to them, yet their messages conflict! Everyone thinks that they are right and that everyone else is going to burn in hell...that just doesn't seem right to me! Plus, I am afraid that my extreme Christian mother in law and all of the other Christian people I know will tell me that "Satan is taking over my life and making me doubt the Bible".....I am desperate to know God and to know the absolute TRUTH about life, but my fear of going to hell is holding me back. Does anyone have any advice for me on what to do?
