I read them as fairy tales. To look for empirical evidence maybe counter productive. It's always to your advantage if others follow religion blindly and you keep your eyes open and not even look for any evidence.

It's impossible to blindly follow most scriptures, they contradict themselves. One has to interpret, they have no choice.

If someone followed the bible blindly, they'd be stoning people left and right.

according to the scriptures, but hardly blindly. God gave us brains for a reason. I trust God to transmit what is true to me and I test out His word in my life.

So the answer is both blindly by faith and by seeing for confirmation of my faith.

There are a number of items that can be proven from the Bible. I once was blind but now thanks to Jesus Christ I see.
