God is the creator.
God is neither male nor female. God is greater that infinity and smaller that an atom, God is everything and nothing, God is the life force and the big bang. God is, well... pretty hard to describe because we don't really know.
What we can assume is that there is a little part of god inside of us because God created us, in God's image.
That's why we create things while the lower animals do not.
I do not mean to say that God looks like a human, no of course not, God is something far greater than our 3 dimentional, physical and severly limiting little world. But we have a part of God in all of us, because God created us, and we are all a little part of God.
The word of God would kill you strait up
I would be like watching the universe explode, or something to that effect. Sitting in the middle of a supernova. You can't actually hear God word. that's just beyond us.
But we do try to explain or describe what we think God is. That is what the holy books are about. They try to describe God, and somethings have other, more subtle goals, but we wont get into that now.
So the Word of God, as you see, is actually the Word of Man (and women) About God.
So when you are looking for the true Word of God, they are probably all true, but none entirely, because everyone is their own indevidual, distinct little piece of God, and therefore have their own truth.
You need to find you own Word of God, rather than trust on someone elses.
You are God, just like everyone (and everything) else.
You are the word, I am the word, the girl that said that Koran is the word is also the word.
So just trust yourself, Think about what God really is.
Is God an old old man with a big long white beard on a throne in the clouds, or is that an image mankind has created to help us picture what god might be?
Follow your heart and you'll find the answer.
follow your heart. Someone allready said that i think
good luck

Everything that he said is the right one. Even without God, the rules put forth by God would create a perfect society. Don't kill the message giver, when the message forms a perfect society if everyone would just comply. Just think, no stealing, no lieing, no cheating, no adultry. We wouldn't have to lock our doors, pay for car locks, pay for unwed mother's children. Pay for people on welfare who don't want to work. Pay the large medical bills, because people are drinking, smoking, and using drugs, cosing billions of dollars in medical bills, that we all share. I am looking forward to the society that does not include these people. That is what is promised, and I can't wait.

If you're talking about "scriptures" here - like the Bible, the Koran, the Book of Moron, etc, remember:
Man created God in his own image, then attributed the thoughts that he considered most "Holy" to this "God" he had created, and passed that "wisdom" down over 1000's of years.
You will notice that either "God" has been exceptionally lax in his job of keeping his creation informed and in-the-loop - or we have become smart enough to realize that not every guy who stumbles into the mushroom patch like St. John and has a "Revelation" gets his inspiration from "God".

The word of God is the message of God to His people. The singularity of the word 'Word' indicates that its not the words of the Bible but rather the meaning conveyed in its context and keeping to the meaning of the whole of the Bible.
e.g. "No mediator between God and Man", well people tell catholics that to get them to realise that they shouldnt pray to saints and Mother Mary, but they dont realise that they themselves intercede (what else do you call a prayer request and 'ill pray for you' when the need arises)??? Also can one thing contradict another? At Cana People tell Mary to help, Mary asks Jesus, Jesus honors Mary in a Jewish way 'Woman' and does the act even though it wasnt His time!!! Its in the Bible. What about the centurion who INTERCEDED for his servant. He asks Jesus to NOT HIMSELF but his servant. Jesus is pleased with this as seen in His words in the Bible. So does this mean that things contradict themselves in the Bible? NO, rather proper mature understanding can reveal the truth and that is the Word of God. (btw the meaning is that the Jewish customs of the time meant that people had to make their offerings to the high priest who would go to the holy of holies to make it (take the case of what John the Baptist's dad was doing before the angel came with the news), there was this great bridge between God and Man, but Jesus came to patch it up and improve the relationship as we now call God our Father. He said that only He knows the Father and all who know Him know the Father (to those it has been revealed).
This is a small one of the many examples of how its important to realize the Truth and that is the 'Word of God'. (It cannot have multiple meanings/stances within it).
EDIT: If u r asking which version of the Bible: I would go for the Ignatius Bible from Ignatius Press (RSV-CE), renound by many top Biblical Scholars to accurately translate the original texts from their respective languages.

Fortunately, THE "Word of God", Jesus, never left us anything in writing, If He had, it would have been torn into small pieces and sold off a long time ago.
Every version of the Bible is useful, but especially one that you can understand. Try different versions or if you can afford it, use several versions and compare them. I have several computer and PDA programs that have many versions and I compare them to gain better understanding.
Better than this is to go back to the original languages, Greek and Hebrew, and do your own translation. An affordable PC software that will let you do this is http://www.powerbible.com/
For about $20.00 you get two discs, one for you and one for a friend.

All the words that come from God are the only way to go. The Bible is the only book you should live by.

The 1611 King James Version - WITHOUT The Apocryphal Books. ( Spurious ). If possible, you want to find one all black text, ( no red letter ) good size type, no cross referrences, and absolutely no commentary. Look into this:
http://www.thekjvstore.com/
The cost may seem prohibitive but it is the most important investment you will ever make in your life, and you will see why in due course.
You want to also work from a Strong's Exhaustive Concordance which is also online at the following:

Just like people have different skin colors, hair colors and personalities, God has revealed himself to cultures in different ways. Choose the word of God that inspires you most.

God's Word, is really just one. The word of God is right if it works to promote both in large and small scope the truth and love of God and its bounty is the fruit of peace and joy.

Perhaps all of them, perhaps none. Personally I don't view any religious doctrine or spiritual path as right or wrong. They all have the same basic points. Perhaps all gods are one god interpreted differently by different cultures who view God in the way they best relate to. Blessings to you, and may peace surround you when you find your path, friend.
