He wrote most of the NT. For about 40 years after the death of Jesus, he was the only one who wrote about him...

But apparently he never wrote about the virgin birth, the killing of male babbies around that time, about Jesus as a child, about him becoming Babtized, or entering the city on an donkey, never wrote about Jesus' ministry or him being crusified.

Why is this?

Let me know any details I have wrong.

Does knowing that a higher being of some sort does not exist effect your thoughts about theists?
I know that for some atheists...well they could care less about what other people think. But then again it truly bothers some of them that others would put faith in such a thing.

I have been reading their magazines and it is all about Jesus and that he is the messiah and the savior of the world and will be king of the world. In a real government, that rules over the world.
This guy says that they definitely believe in Jesus.
People I have found that say the most against them are the ones who know the least about them.

They gave me a book all about Jesus and the 4 gospel accounts of his life. it is real interesting.

The existance of a god is not impossible.
It is just not supported by any reasonable evidence...Therefore perhaps we should stop saying Atheist= NO GOD! But instead Hardcore Agnostic= There could be a god, but there is absolutely no reason for me to believe that?

What do you all think?

He wants nothing more than for us to believe in him but he refuses to give us any reason to until we do.

He uses his infinite powers to appear on toast, recline someone's seat in an accident so they don't die, hook people up, but he let's entire villages of children starve to death.

He gives us free will and a powerful mind and then forbids us to use them... same thing with sex.

What's with this guy?

I have a question for anyone who knows about the messages inside the Qu'ran. I was wondering if there are any lines that might suggest sexism? This is strictely for a research that I am doing in university. Thank you for your help.

I'm a strange denomination.... I'm like a mix of Seventh Day Adventist, Unitarian, Quaker and Fundamentalist. Ten points to whoever either 1) has the strangest (but believable) mix, or if that doesn't turn out well 2) whoever insults me the most eloquently and intellectually.

Do you pray differently for different things such as prayer for yourself as opposed to prayer for someone who is sick?
I am just curious as to how others pray and their feelings about different types of prayer.

I am specifically referring to the Biblical passages of Eph 5:22-32, Heb 13:4, Mk 10:7-10, and Mt 19:5-6.

Where do these verses fit in the prophesy of the Old Testament?

To the one who answered that in my earlier question.

IN THE winter of 1609/10, Galileo Galilei turned his newly developed telescope toward the heavens and discovered four moons circling the planet Jupiter. What he saw shattered the prevailing notion that all heavenly bodies must orbit the earth. Earlier, in 1543, the Polish astronomer Nicolaus Copernicus had theorized that the planets revolve around the sun. Galileo verified that this was scientific truth.

To Catholic theologians, however, this was heresy. The church had long held that the earth was the center of the universe.2 This view was based on a literal interpretation of scriptures that pictured the earth as being fixed “on its foundations, unshakable for ever and ever.” (Psalm 104:5, The Jerusalem Bible) Summoned to Rome, Galileo appeared before the Inquisition. Subjected to rigorous examination, he was forced to recant his findings, and he spent the rest of his life under house arrest.
