Well if I'm praying for someone who lost a leg, I stand on one foot, for the blind, I shut one eye and if for the incontinent, I wet myself. If I'm praying for food, I pantomime eating a bacon egg and ham sandwich. When I pray for victory in battle I hold a toy rifle and pretend I just killed a group of non believers. When I pray for personal gratification I... better not say what I do? When I pray for spiritual things I alternately wail, cry out speaking in tongues, moan and weep tears of blood while flailing my back with a cat o' nine tails metal barbed whip so I can get a real sense of Jesus' ow ouch pain! I really do believe, a creative imagination and acting out works best in making it real for "Praise The Lord" an Omnipotent triple whammy blast of the Holy Spirit, amen.

I don't ask too much of God. I always try to find my own way. If someone is sick, I go and help or such. He knows my wishes and thoughts anyway... if he likes them, he can come and help me and my loved ones. Anyway, he is more powerful than me, I guess..... and anyway he will do everything as he wants... if he sees I am right, I guess he will be with me and help me and give me strength to face anything that comes... so I only use that one prayer, the Lord's Prayer and don't diversify the pool.
Sometimes I talk to him, though... :))

I pray for everything but not in one prayer, even when we pray God has a order.
Intersession - praying for others
petition = praying for myself
healing I will pray this prayer only if the person is in agreement with me for their healing. I know that God want us to pray for everything and everyone. But before you pray you need to make sure that you have gotten rid of any unforgiveness, sin or anything else that can hinder our prayers. I don't think sharing your prayer experiences and goals is not to personal to share. I hope this helps.

You really have two different questions....
- How to Pray
- What to Pray for
Praying can be anything from standard prayers "Our Father..." to just an open conversation with God, "Well, God, here I am again, and I need your help...." I use both.
What to pray for is unlimited. Pray for yourself, pray for your family, pray for your friends, pray for people you don't even know. He listens...... and more importantly, answers. Though in the end, realize it is HIS will be done.
Also, don't assume that since YOU think something is good for you that it will be. i.e. sometimes adversity is there to build character.... that experience may be very beneficial to you later in life.

My prayers are usually similar whether I'm praying for someone else or myself. I usually start out with the name of the deity, and ask if they would please help the other person with whatever situation. I'll pray anywhere. Of course my favorite place to pray is at my prayer altar because I'm most at peace there.

When you pray you have to be in a clean area..Take off your shoes when you Pray.To show respect! When Moses was Confronted By Gods voice in the Bush..He was standing on Holy Ground, He removed his shoes..To know how to Pray you must read the Book Of Life[The Bible] When you read the Bible you will know what to ask from Him and what to say to him..You must always approach seriously, you can't just go and Pray with shorts and an undershirt on..You have to be dressed in a propare manner..and again to learn how to pray you must constantly read. Bye.
God Bless

Honestly, my feeling on prayer. Are that you should just talk just openly tell God what it is that's on your mind or in your heart. God wants to be your best friend. And in order for that to happen he dosen't want to hear premade prayers or even quotes of scripture. He just wants to hear from you. He wants to walk beside you in life. Honestly in my prayers. I just talk to him like he is a friend. He already knows what you are goingto pray about he just wants you to say it. I hope that this helped you with what you are looking for. If not you can e-mail my pastor. We go to a non-denominational Church in Southern Indiana. The web site is www.northwindschurch.com. Please talk with him if you are having any conserns he will be more than willing to help. Trust me I've need him a time or two.

I pray for God to protect those who are in Iraq, I pray for those who are sick, I also pray for those who cannot be present with their family. I pray for those in authority, including those who are leading this Government. They need all the pray they can receive from us. I also thank God for keeping me safe throughout the day. For me, prayer is communication with my father in heaven, and it is also a way for me to find out what God wants me to do with my life.

Dear God,
I thank You for this day. I thank You for my being able to see and to hear this morning. I'm blessed because You are a forgiving God and an understanding God. You have done so much for me and You keep on blessing me. Forgive me this day for everything I have done, said or thought that was not pleasing to you.
I ask now for Your forgiveness. Please keep me safe from all danger and harm. Help me to start this day with a new attitude and plenty of gratitude. Let me make the best of each and every day to clear my mind so that I can hear from You. Please broaden my mind that I can accept all things. Let me not whine and whimper over things I have no control over. And It's the best response when I'm pushed beyond my limits.
I know that when I can't pray, You listen to my heart. Continue to
use me to do Your will. Continue to bless me that I may be a blessing to others. Keep me strong that I may help the weak... Keep me uplifted that I may have words of encouragement for others. I pray for those that are lost and can't find their way. I pray for those that are misjudged and misunderstood. I pray for those who don't know You intimately. I pray for those that will delete this
without sharing it with others. I pray for those that don't believe.
But I thank you that I believe. I believe that God changes people and God changes things. I pray for all my sisters and brothers. For each and every family member in their households. I pray for peace, love and joy in their homes that they are out of debt and all their needs are met.
God I love you and need you; thank you for being in my heart and life. In the name of Jesus, Amen.

also i don't always pray as such....it is mor elike talking to god,God hears all our thoughts. it may be just telling him all the good things tha have happened today and thanking him for giving these hapy times to me. i tell him all the bad things that have happened and ask him to help me to make the right decisions and to help me bear all these things. i thank him for everything i have. and sometimes when i can't think of what to say i tell Him that i don't know what to say and i know hewill understand......i dont use this as a quick fix toprayer.
a good guide to a prayer is the lords prayer in Matt 6 as it covers all parts of your daily life!!! sometimes my prayrs are just feeting htoughts like
