He wants nothing more than for us to believe in him but he refuses to give us any reason to until we do.

He uses his infinite powers to appear on toast, recline someone's seat in an accident so they don't die, hook people up, but he let's entire villages of children starve to death.

He gives us free will and a powerful mind and then forbids us to use them... same thing with sex.

What's with this guy?

Because man plays games and God was created in Man's image.

I'm pretty much a skeptic about God, but I like a challenge.

Maybe, like Christians say, God is all knowing and all loving and all powerful yadda yadda yadaa.
Maybe this is all a part of God's plan. Every act of horror is an investment in some cosmic causal connection to a really good thing to come, something that makes it woth it. Maybe everything is a part of a plan for us, to make our existence meaningful and good and ultimately a part of some really good heavenly plan.
A Christian might tell me this, and I'd say, "but couldn't we do without the senseless death, disease, etc. Couldn't God have made it all good without the bad"
But then the Christian would respond, "Negative. This is all a part of the plan. It's all important, and in the end we will look upon it all like a masterpiece. Well some of us will. Those who didn't have faith won't. They'll go to hell. You have to embrace the faith, and I know it seems absurd and arbitrary, but if you just take a leap of faith about mankind and God instead of sitting there looking at the minutiae of your life, which is all so minor compared to the real plan, then you'd see too. You'd see that it's a good thing, that God knows what he's doing, and that all will be alright. Just have faith."

I wish I believed in that, it would explain that question. But I don't. So maybe you need to have faith, maybe that would do it. Or maybe it's just that God doesn't exist, or care very much if he does.

well i think that it is important to remember that God does not play games with us on any level. He is Holy. He is the same God as He has always been He just relates to us differently. He is not the cause of children starving to death, sin is the cause of that! and God NEVER forbids anyone to use their mind or free will for anything. and He certainly does not forbid sex, He just says that it is something to be shared between a husband and wife. And I don't believe that God uses His powers as you call them to appear to people on toast, or any of those other things that you said. i have not read anywhere in the scripture where anything like that has taken place ( although He does have the power to do so). we must remember that Satan has powers too and he can make things appear to be from God so that people get their focus all off and start worshiping things like a piece of toast so that they are not worshiping the living God. And knowledge although it is a good thing, we must be careful how knowledge is used because to much knowledge can be dangerous. People start dabbling into things which they have no business, and they start to think that they themselves don't need God and in some cases start to believe that they themselves are God.

Honestly in my understanding. God isn't playing games with us. Sometimes he does do things that no one understands. Such as what most will call mircles. Such as living through a horrific car accident, someone being basically pronounced dead waking up to live a normal life. Most of the time I think God is just wanting us to realize certian things and sometimes we need his help in doing so. Such as I was into some really awful things as a teenager. So he sent me a little angel (my daughter) to straighten me up.

And about the children starving in 3rd world nations. Most of those people don't even know about him. Have never heard of him. Don't you think that maybe he's wanting to see if we will do something? If we have the love in our hearts that it takes to go over there with food. To sacrifice some of the things that we have for the good will of others? Maybe if we loved enough those children wouldn't have to die or starvation. I mean look there are people in this country who don't even care. They don't even take the time to look away from their own lives to see what else is going on in the world. I just think that he wants to know if we are going to do something.

And as far as the free will and powerful mind, how is he stopping us from using them? Same thing with Sex. How many people out there do you think are really faithfull to one person? How many people out there do you think belive that there isn't a God? How do you say that he is preventing us from doing anything?

1. I believe every morning you open your eyes that is a reason to believe, unless you believe you woke yourself up or maybe your alarm clock
2. how many meals have you missed to give to the poor, or how many soup lines have you worked in.
3. He did not forbid you to type this e-mail about him did he, you used your free will. And if he did not allow us to use our free will then everyone would serve him without any choice.
4. I guess he just loves us to much

God wants up to believe in him, Somethings God wont tell us because of specific reasons for example God wont tell us when the rapture is because if he does too many nonbelieves will start asking him to come into their hearts at that very last minute and some people would live a dirty life and then of course ask God into their heart at the last minute. God's got a reason for everything and a plan for everywhere, You just gotta have faith in him like I do and all of His other believers. Oh and to answer your question whats with this guy, nothings with Him, He wants the best for his children believers or nonbelievers. God does not play games with us, Its just his plan.

Everything is not about us (you).
God is for Himself. Because of that, His will is best for us. If God were for us, that would be like the scene in *Bruce Almighty* where Bruce has to answer all the prayer requests from his NY burrough. He categorizes them this way and that, and finally decides to just grant all the ones for winning the lottery, because that will eleminate most of them. This results in utter chaos, as everyone who bought a lottery ticket is now a winner. The lottery can't pay off that much money, and everyone wins pennies instead of dollars as the winnings are split among them all.
God is not giving us the answers we want, but He governs as He sees best.
Romans 8:28 And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.
Romans 2:4-5
4 Or do you think lightly of the riches of His kindness and tolerance and patience, not knowing that the kindness of God leads you to repentance?
5 But because of your stubbornness and unrepentant heart you are storing up wrath for yourself in the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God,

God's mercy comes as His patience with us (you). If you do not follow His mercy, then that mercy becomes evidence against you on Judgment Day.

God does not forbid sex. He does regulate it to be within marriage, and that for our protection. Look what happens when sex goes outside of marriage: DISASTER, up close and personal, disaster.

What's with God?
John 3:16
"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life."

Hold on a sec...'refuses to give us any reason to until we do.' Hmm...why? Well first of all, we were created in God's image and to express Him. The purpose of a glove is for a hand. We (humans) were made to contain God. We are vessels made to contain God! If we don't have God's life in us, then we aren't doing our purpose, right?

Don't know WHERE you got that stuff from? Can you show me cuhz I don't know what you're talking about...

How does He forbid us to use free will? Aren't you making choices in your life every day?

He is the almighty and powerful God! [What's up with you?]

I don't know if you have kids, but if you do you problaby have rules with thing they can and can't do with their freedom. If you are a good parent you wouldn't let you child eat an entire bag of candies because you know it will make him sick. Same thing with God, all the laws he provides are for our own good. As for the children in Africa, I think you have our governments to blame.

Some people just can’t get enough abuse. Ya send hurricanes to kill someone’s entire family, Take away all his food so he’s starving an tell him he is a worthless, born sinner and that he better keep his filthy, naughty penis in his pants! Just about every form of abuse and still at the end of the day, he thanks you for it. Does that sound like a healthy relationship to you?

PS: I love your pic. That’s my favorite one.
