I have been reading their magazines and it is all about Jesus and that he is the messiah and the savior of the world and will be king of the world. In a real government, that rules over the world.
This guy says that they definitely believe in Jesus.
People I have found that say the most against them are the ones who know the least about them.

They gave me a book all about Jesus and the 4 gospel accounts of his life. it is real interesting.

Jesus is called the only-begotten Son. Why? Because he was the firstborn of all creations. After Jehovah created him, he helped in crreating the other angels, animals and man. He is the only one created by God without help. We do believe that Jesus is a Mighty God, but not the Almighty God.

“There has been a child born to us, there has been a son given to us; and the princely rule will come to be upon his shoulder. And his name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.” (Isaiah 9:6)

"When A′bram got to be ninety-nine years old, then Jehovah appeared to A′bram and said to him: “I am God Almighty."
Genesis 17:1
“Let US make man in our image.” (Genesis 1:26) Was God talking to himself? No. he said Let us, meaning there's someone beside him, who could it be?

Colossians 1:15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation; 16 because by means of him all [other] things were created in the heavens and upon the earth, the things visible and the things invisible, no matter whether they are thrones or lordships or governments or authorities. All [other] things have been created through him and for him. 17 Also, he is before all [other] things and by means of him all [other] things were made to exist.

Proverbs 8:30 then I came to be beside him as a master worker, and I came to be the one he was specially fond of day by day, I being glad before him all the time, 31 being glad at the productive land of his earth, and the things I was fond of were with the sons of men....
---------------

When Jesus became a man on earth, God is still in heaven as Jesus was praying to him, God even talked from heaven during Jesus' baptism.

Further, Jesus never claimed to be God. Philippians 2:3 says 5 Keep this mental attitude in YOU that was also in Christ Jesus, 6 who, although he was existing in God’s form, GAVE NO CONSIDERATION TO A SEIZURE; NAMELY; THAT HE SHOULD BE EQUAL TO GOD. 7 No, but he emptied himself and took a slave’s form and came to be in the likeness of men. 8 More than that, when he found himself in fashion as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient as far as death, yes, death on a torture stake. 9 For this very reason also God exalted him to a superior position and kindly gave him the name that is above every [other] name, 10 so that in the name of Jesus every knee should bend of those in heaven and those on earth and those under the ground, 11 and every tongue should openly acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father.

Yeah, I don't know where that rumor came from. Jehovah's Witnesses most definitely believe in Jesus and that he is the Messiah-God's son. Also, notice who use the Bible to answer your question and notice those who use false websites or their opinion.Tomoyo K has it right.

People believe that Jesus is God, JWs believe what the bible say...that Jesus is the Son of God, so people think they are not preaching about him.

It is a common misconception because JWs worship Jehovah, which Jesus said should be done and give honor to Jesus which were both bible teachings.

Hi there Butch,
Thanks for the question.
I always think that the best way to find out about something is to get the information from the proper source and in this case I'm glad you have.
You're going to get biased answers (as you can see) from people who frankly don't know any better. It's best to ignore them and find out what they believe from Jehovah's Witnesses themselves.
If you want any specific questions answered I would be more than happy to answer them, don't hesitate to email me. Or you can visit our official website.

we have a wonderful book about The Greatest Man Who Ever Lived and it is about the life of Jesus Christ. yes we do believe in Jesus Christ, but without Jehovah God his Father, there would not be Jesus Christ. why would we celebrate xmas. it is not Jesus Christ birthday. the Shepard's where out in the field and that time of the year, is the rainy and cold season. we are not a cult. a cult worships man, we worship Jehovah and Jesus Christ. we are in 235 lands. a cult is in one state. think of jim jones, or charles manson. our bible is the same words but written how we talk today. we can show you the words in the king james bible also. read revelation about the 144,000 and about the meek that will live on earth forever. it is in the king james bible also. if he wanted a bible I am sure the witness would give him one also

Primarily, it is those with an agenda of bigotry who seek to slander and spread untruths about Jehovah's Witnesses. Interestingly, those bigots also rely heavily on the notion that no one will investigate THE TRUTH about their religious assertions.

By contrast, honest persons and true Christians are primarily interested in THE TRUTH, and especially bible truth (see Scriptures below).

Trinitarians are notorious for repeatedly pretending that Jehovah's Witnesses are not Christian. Trinitarians use an artificial, trinity-specific definition of the term "Christian" which excludes anyone who does not believe that Jesus is God Himself, rather than the Son of God. Interestingly, pagans in the first century pretended that Christ's followers were Atheists(!) because the Christians had a somewhat different idea from the pagans about the nature of God.

Jehovah's Witnesses teach that no salvation occurs without Christ, that accepting Christ's sacrifice is a requirement for true worship, that every prayer must acknowledge Christ, that Christ is the King of God's Kingdom, that Christ is the head of the Christian congregation, that Christ is immortal and above every creature, even that Christ was the 'master worker' in creating the universe! Both secular dictionaries and disinterested theologians acknowledge that Jehovah's Witnesses are a Christian religion.

The Trinitarian arguments are intended to insult and demean Jehovah's Witnesses, rather than to give a Scripturally accurate understanding of the term "Christian".

In fact, the bible most closely associates being "Christian" with preaching about Christ and Christ's teachings. Review all three times the bible uses the term "Christian" and note that the context connects the term with:
"declaring the good news"
'teaching quite a crowd'
'open eyes, turn from dark to light'
"uttering sayings of truth"
"persuade"
"keep on glorifying"

(Acts 11:20-26) [The early disciples of Jesus] began talking to the Greek-speaking people, declaring the good news of the Lord Jesus... and taught quite a crowd, and it was first in Antioch that the disciples were by divine providence called Christians.

(Acts 26:17-28) [Jesus said to Paul] I am sending you, to open their eyes, to turn them from darkness to light and from the authority of Satan to God... Paul said: “I am not going mad, Your Excellency Festus, but I am uttering sayings of truth and of soundness of mind. ...Do you, King Agrippa, believe the Prophets? I know you believe.” But Agrippa said to Paul: “In a short time you would persuade me to become a Christian.”

(1 Peter 4:14-16) If you are being reproached for the name of Christ, you are happy... But if he suffers as a Christian, let him not feel shame, but let him keep on glorifying God in this name

So why do anti-Witnesses try to hijack the term "Christian" and hide its Scriptural implications? Because anti-Witnesses recognize that it is the preaching work that makes it clear that the relatively small religion of Jehovah's Witnesses are by far the most prominent followers of Christ:

(Matthew 28:19,20) Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded

They don't believe in the Jesus of Scripture. They changed the wording (with no basis in linguistics) to twist and pervert the Holy Scriptures into saying that Jesus is a "creature" and not God.

This is not a new thing, by the way. Arius, the heretic priest from Alexandria taught the same stuff and was condemned as a heretic. That was in 325 A.D.

Jesus is not a "created being" - nor is He "Michael the Archangel" come to earth.

He is God - God The Son - Second Person of the Most Holy Trinity.

Trinitarians spread this lie among other things. JW's believe in the bibles Jesus, not the false doctrine of a triune god. JW's are victim to Lot of nasty lies and propaganda.

(Notice that they gave you a book rather than the Bible.)

"John 1:1
1 2 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2
He was in the beginning with God.

"From the USCCB (US Conference of Catholic Bishops) footnote to John 1:1

' "The prologue states the main themes of the gospel: life, light, truth, the world, testimony, and the preexistence of Jesus Christ, the incarnate Logos, who reveals God the Father." '

The Watchtower Society has come into translating the Bible just this past century. They do not believe in the Trinitarian God: The Father, Son and Holy Spirit. See the Apostle's Creed for the basic beliefs of the Christian Faith.

"Throughout the Middle Ages it was generally believed that the Apostles, on the day of Pentecost, while still under the direct inspiration of the Holy Ghost, composed our present Creed between them, each of the Apostles contributing one of the twelve articles."

How can they possibly believe in Jesus Christ if they deny his Divinity? They do not know Him. If they do not know Him, how can they know the Father? And the Paraclete was sent, as Christ promised when He last spoke to His Apostle's. The Trinity.

JW's believe in Jesus; just not the Jesus of Christianity. Our Jesus is God the Son, the second Person of the Trinity, their Jesus was just a man.

The Jehovah's Witnesses consider themselves to be Christians because they believe they are serving the true and living God. Like many cults, they think they are the only true church on earth. Yet, they deny the Trinity, the deity of Christ, the personhood of the Holy Spirit, Jesus' physical resurrection, and salvation by grace through faith.
