Since Mary was a descendant of David, why it is even an issue with respect to Jesus?

Every verse I have seen people reference for this says nothing about the Messiah having to come from the father’s side of the geneology… What am I missing? Thanks…

I have seen people ask all the time what kind of car would Jesus drive, now I'm asking what kind of car would Satan drive?

I think a beat up Nash Rambler with a moon roof that he stole from a retooled Gremlin.

Out society is becoming bound by the fear of offending non believers. It discust me. For instance I love the color yellow, but only as paint, or in flowers. Not as a streak down a person's spine. I have heard that in some locations it is against the law to display "Merry Christmas." So with this in mind, I quess I think it puts believers in a position to just come on out display what the truth is. Do you agree? If not why?

There are a lot of examples, but here is one...
Ezekiel 23:20
There she lusted after her lovers, whose genitals were like those of donkeys and whose emission was like that of horses.

I honestly wonder how this works, I can't even begin to understand it. I hope you can help me clear this up.

From what I know, Christians should love God more than anybody else. Even more than their loved ones, their family, spouse, boyfriend, girlfriend, children, etc.

My girlfriend is a Christian, and even she doesn't understand this concept. She believes in a God, but never will she put God before her family, me, or her friends. That's probably why her and me (Atheist) get along so well.

But I'm really trying to understand the concept. How can you love a God more than the people close to you? And how do your loved ones feel about that?

My sunday school teacher, Mr. Hooper, showed us how to prove that God exists. He rolled a regular dice 25 times and wrote down the numbers that came up. I wrote them down in my Veggie Tales notebook (I only use that one for really important stuff). The numbers were 2,4,2,5,6,1,3,5,6,2,1,1,3,4,5,6,4,3,4,5,2,1,3,6,1... Then he said that each time you roll the dice there's a 1 in 6 probability that any given number will come up. Then he said that since we rolled the dice 25 times, there are 6 to the 25th power combinations of numbers that we could have rolled. Then he said that since there was only a 1 in 2.84 x 10 to the 19th power chance that we could roll that combination of numbers then God obviously made them come up that way. That makes sense to me. How can you say that god doesn't design everything when it's statistically impossible to roll that particular sequence of numbers?

Athiests are stupid and don't know math.

I was out for a walk earlier, and this guy walked up and asked me if I had heard the good news about the Bible and if I was saved, while trying to hand me a picture of Jesus on a billion dollar bill with a Bible scripture on the back. For some reason he wasn't content when I said "Sorry, but I'm a Druid, and even though I respect your faith, I do not wish to join it." In fact he almost looked offended.

Can any one else think of a better way to handle these situations?

Many people believe in life after death and that there is no death to our spirtit or soul because they are the ones who go to heaven or hell. They say that the only thing that dies is our physical body, not the soul and spirit,,, when were our soul and spirit created if they never die?

THEN THERE ARE THOSE, that Know God, from the Heart, the Mind and the SOUL! They leave the TRAPPINGS of that thing called HIGHER EDUCATION and RELIGION, and realize that they will = in this earth and time = NOT HAVE ALL THE SUPPOSED ANSWERS = THAT THE INTELLIGENCIA = CLAIM TO HAVE!

(John 7:37-38-39) In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.
(John 7:38) He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.
(John 7:39) (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)

THEY KNOW GOD = FROM THE HEART = BY FAITH = because the GOD THEY KNOW = gave then The Faith = that they now have, as a gift of His Grace and Mercy!

They Know and Understand their Position in Christ and Obedience to His Word, as He said in Luke 6:46!

Thanks, RR

This isn't a question, really, but an answer.

This is one of the best explanations of why God allows pain and suffering that I have seen. It's an explanation other people will understand.

A man went to a barbershop to have his hair cut and his beard trimmed. As the barber began to work, they began to have a good conversation. They talked about so many things and various subjects.

When they eventually touched on the subject of God, the barber said: "I don't believe that God exists."

"Why do you say that?" asked the customer.

"Well, you just have to go out in the street to realize that God doesn't exist. Tell me, if God exists, would there be so many sick people? Would there be abandoned children? If God existed, there would be neither suffering nor pain. I can't imagine a loving a God who would allow all of these things."
