This isn't a question, really, but an answer.
This is one of the best explanations of why God allows pain and suffering that I have seen. It's an explanation other people will understand.
A man went to a barbershop to have his hair cut and his beard trimmed. As the barber began to work, they began to have a good conversation. They talked about so many things and various subjects.
When they eventually touched on the subject of God, the barber said: "I don't believe that God exists."
"Why do you say that?" asked the customer.
"Well, you just have to go out in the street to realize that God doesn't exist. Tell me, if God exists, would there be so many sick people? Would there be abandoned children? If God existed, there would be neither suffering nor pain. I can't imagine a loving a God who would allow all of these things."

The customer thought for a moment, but didn't respond because he didn't want to start an argument. The barber finished his job and the customer left the shop. Just after he left the barbershop, he saw a man in the street with long, stringy, dirty hair and an untrimmed beard. He looked dirty and un-kept.
The customer turned back and entered the barber shop again and he said to the barber: "You know what? Barbers do not exist."
"How can you say that?" asked the surprised barber. "I am here, and I am a barber. And I just worked on you!"
"No!" the customer exclaimed. "Barbers don't exist because if they did, there would be no people with dirty long hair and untrimmed beards, like that man outside."
"Ah, but barbers DO exist! What happens is, people do not come to me."

"Exactly!"- affirmed the customer. "That's the point! God, too, DOES exist! What happens, is, people don't go to Him and do not look for Him. That's why there's so much pain and suffering in the world."
If you KNOW God exists, send this to other people---If you think God does not exist, delete it!

God has given us all free will. Bad things happen partly as a result of people's free will making them happen. 'Bad' is really a judgement call based on perspective. For example, say you fell in the mud. That could be bad from your perspective, but someone else might benefit from it in some way. Suppose instead of being annoyed that you were muddy, you laughed about it? Life would be boring if no one ever fell in the mud. At least you could remember that day you fell in the mud to bring a smile to your face. What seems bad now may be a blessing to us later. When we are challenged, we grow stronger from facing the challenge. God wants us to grow in our relationship with Him. How can we grow to appreciate Him if we never have cause to ask him for help? God wants us to love Him with all our heart, soul, and mind. If we don't talk to God, then how can we love Him? So you can think of bad things happening as the natural way for us to turn to God. Think of the relationship children have with their parents. When a little girl falls and scrapes her knee, she cries for her parents. When she has everything she needs, she can get lost in play and never call out to them. It is simply natural that the bad things that happen as a part of our having free will, bring us closer to God. I believe a main purpose to our Earthly existence is to learn to love God. We grow spiritually when we practice dealing with these 'bad things' through prayer and a positive attitude. If you don't have a positive attitude, then pray fervently that you will get one. Prayer works. I know.

Barbers exist, but aren't in infinite demand. Ala, they can't cut people's hair for free all over the world. The concept of God sugguests that god does not have said limitation. Thus! The analogy sugguests god is not omnipotent. Thank you come again!

Job is a good example. God didn't do anything to Job. Job himself stated that the things he feared the most came upon him. Fear opens the door to bad things, just as faith in God opens the door to Good Things. When Job repented for blaming God for his own troubles, God blessed him with more than he could have ever imagined.

I liked it, but i think i have an answer to the question
All people sin, as it says in the Bible. So even good people sin. If you are saved, you are a son or daughter of Christ. In the Bible it says A good father (God) will discipline his son (Hebrews 12:5-11). If we do wrong, sin, and do not do anything about it God will discipline us. Its not really like he is making our world horrible. He will punish us by not letting, say you would get a promotion at work, but God will discipline you and not give you that good thing, or blessing.

In some cases God allows bad things to happen to you, like clay in the potters hands, to build you through experiences, to make you a stronger person, to gain knowledge, understanding, and to do his will for his purposes.
God does exist..... he gave me personal proof, all my life, I would love to explain it all, but I have many long stories, trust me he is real, and he coming sooner than you think.

However, barbers are not omniscient or omnipotent. That and he's got a business to run, bills to pay, he can't cut everyone's hair for free or he'd go broke.

Yeah Umm, this story blows big time. I also heard this one.
It doesn't make sense. I know where you're trying to go with it, But you and everyone who agrees with you is wrong.
Have you ever taken the other persons point of veiw?
Why do you think most people don't believe?

OK so by this Feeble attempt at logic you're saying people who suffer deserve it?
All the people who suffer in the world don't believe in God??
I heard this story before, it's laughable.
You do understand there's no logic in that story!!

You cant say that he does bad things to us, he would never do a bad thing to us.He always allows things to happen to us to show his Love toward us..Let me give you an example..Let's say you start to do wrong things, constantly! God will allow something to happen to you so you can straighten up and so you can think to yourself why has God allowed this to happen to me..and if you don't find your answer, Pray! and you will find out one day. When you find out you'll know i did these wrong things thats why he allowed it to happen..Imagine if you continued to do that wrong thing..More and More pain would've been brought against you. He made you stop and think about what you were doing..so you can change..Bye
God Bless
