because satan is the ruler of this system.

Because God created man with free will out of love. So therefore people decided to rebel against God causing all kinds of drama in the world. Yes God knew he was taking a risk when giving us free will, but it was out of love. He did not want us all to be the same robotic beings with no will of what the do.

The existnece of evil in the world is a consequence of our free will. We have the ability to choose to love and to choose to do good. The consequence of this is that sometime evil is chosen over good. As Augustine says: "Since God is the highest good, He would not allow any evil to exist in His works, unless His omnipotence and goodness were such as to bring good even out of evil." This is part of the infinite goodness of God, that He should allow evil to exist, and out of it produce good.
- Saint Thomas Aquinas
Incidentally. Free will is not about the ability to choose evil, it is about the ability to choose good.

No. If you are a good person, as in you have treated people the way you think they would like to be treated (as this is, from what I have gathered, what 'good' means) and you are standing 15 yards away from a *er erm* bad person (One who has treated people in a way he does not think they would like to be treated) ....and a guy is going to launch a mortar at you from bhind a bush then god does not decide where the mortar hits. A combination of what's the easiest direction to point the mortar cannon from the guys angle, the windage...bla bla bla...a whole lot of things that are caused by simpler things...Not a complex thing like a god... will decide where tht mortar lands. Unfortunately whether the person's good or bad has nothing to do with it, as you seem to have noticed about life.

I think all the followers in God should think of this question: Does God have the power to prevent suffering and evil? Think about it logically.
IF God has the power to prevent evil and suffering on Earth then the only option available to you is:
He has chosen not to.
Why would that be? Perhaps the world as we experience it, with all its evil, is a test... God allows people to act how they wish, gives them free will, to enable the ones who prove themselves to be good to earn a place in heaven. But then you could argue, why not just create people who are worthy to enter heaven already? It makes no sense to let people suffer and die in an elaborate game, when a being of his power could just create Heaven and fill it with good nice beings with free will who would never choose to be evil... and be done with it.
Or perhaps God doesn't want to prevent evil and suffering on Earth because God himself is not completely good. If someone is allowing evil things to happen that he could prevent, and for no good reason, then he can't be completely caring.
The other option is that *He does not have the power to prevent evil and suffering*. Perhaps, as some have suggested, evil MUST exist on Earth? Perhaps evil must exist for good to exist? Perhaps there is a Devil or Satan who has brought evil to Earth and God is powerless to stop it? But either way, it leaves you with the realisation that God is helpless to prevent suffering. Therefore he is not all powerful.
Which is it to be?
Far easier to draw the most logical conclusion. There is no God.
For those good people here who have had hard lives or endured suffering and now thank God that He has finally answered their prayers... what about those people who also had hard lives, endured suffering, and whose prayers went unanswered? Are you telling me that they must have been more undeserving of his mercy than you...? I'm sure there will be many families out there who would be very insulted to hear that.
And as for the theory that people are punished for sins in past lives: a God who punishes you for deeds you did not actually do is not a just God. Why give you any more chances at life if you will be punished regardless of your actions?

Define Evil
Evil is a point of view, not a way of life.
Think about it. Hitler. He really thought he was doing what was right. He thought the Jews were a problem and that the world would be a better place without them. Was he right in my opinion, no.
Did he think he was right? Yes. He was evil in his own eyes, nor the eyes of the people who adored him.

Guest it's time for another copy and paste from the last 3 times I answered this.... and keep in mind God does not allow bad things to happen people do... I don't allow my children to do bad things however it is a choice that they make.....
I was raped by my stepfather and if not for the strength of the Lord I would not be here, My mother is dieing from Aids and if not for the strength and comfort I found in his word I would not have made it through that, my brother-in-law raped my daughter in my house if not for the strength I have in him I would have killed him instead of forgiving him, I would not have the strength to admit that here on this site if God wasn't here with me, if not for God and my faith in him when my husband and I both lost our jobs as many others did after 9/11 and we were evicted and lost everything we would not have had the strength to stand, and first and far most if not for the God that I love and serve when two different doctors told me I would never have a child I would have given up and lost my faith and I would not have the 2 children that he blessed me with..... I don't blame God for the things that went wrong in my life BUT I THANK HIM, GLORIFY HIM, PRAISE HIM, STAND BECAUSE OF HIM, AND LOVE HIM FOR ALL THE MANY WAYS HE BROUGHT ME OUT OF THOSE SITUATIONS WITHOUT A BLIMISH OR SCAR!!! I did not sale my body to get my bills paid because I waited on the Lord, I did not curse his name when my mother got sick because the choices she made and the enemy she chose to serve at that time put her in that death bed and God is the reason why she has not taken HIV medication but ten years later she is still here!!! So you can find fault in him if you chose but I know him have faith in him and serve him I know through it all he has never left my side but if I only believe he will bring me out on top of every situation! So may be if everyone would stop practicing hate, doubting him, not believing in him, and forsaking him put these keyboards down and lift his name up and pray for the afflictions you are speaking of may be just may be if it is his will he will stop those things but, I guess most of you will never know if he will because you are too bust searching for ways to disprove him.... Amen, Thank you Jesus and goodnight I am going to go pray!!!!

You are quite sad. There is no god. And what is this "he takes the good and leaves the bad" ? It is mindless babble, repeated endlessly by people with religious minds, but meaning absolutely nothing.

Because most people prefer to serve satan, even if they don't know it. There are people who blame God because He is there but they tell Him to go away. Then they complain when He does. There are people who tell satan to go away but do nothing to make satan believe that they are telling the truth. So he stays. Man has been doing that for melinnium.
