I've been told there is a passage in the bible that says that we should love all and that we should allow God to do the judging. If this is the case than why do so many religous people judge gay people?

Why is it that Jehovah's Witnesses encourage people of other faiths to question their religions and be critical of it, but as soon as someone questions them about their faith and is critical about it, it is a closed book, end of discussion? Why can you be disfellowshipped for daring to question what is taught in their publications, yet that is exactly what they are doing when going door to door? Why is reading any literature critical of the group discouraged?

Christians I understand that you have been taught to believe the b bGospel, and the word of God. But just because YOU believe it doesnt mean its right, and when a christian says to a non-christian that you are going to hell if you dont believe in Jesus or the bible is extremely vulgar to us. I'll even use your own words: Judge not, unless you be judged also. You really need to think about what you are saying to people

In the name of God, the Gracious, the Merciful.

And We have enjoined on man to be good to his parents - his mother bears him in weakness upon weakness, and his weaning takes two years - and said, '
Give thanks to Me and thy parents. Unto Me is the final return;
And worship God and associate naught with Him, and show kindness to parents, and to kindred, and orphans, and the needy, and to the neighbour who is a kinsman, and the neighbour who is a stranger, and the companion by your side, and the wayfarer, and those whom your right hands possess. Surely, Allah loves not the arrogant and the boastful
And We have enjoined on man to be good to his parents. His mother bears him with pain, and brings him forth with pain, and the bearing of him and his weaning takes thirty months till, when he attains his full maturity and reaches the age of forty years, he says, 'My Lord, grant me that I may be grateful for Thy favour which thou hast bestowed upon me and upon my parents, and I may do such righteous deeds as may please Thee. And establish righteousness among my progeny for me. I do turn to thee; and, truly, I am of those who are obedient to thee.'
Thy Lord has commanded that ye worship none but Him, and that ye show kindness to parents. If one or both of them attain old age with thee, never say to them as much as ugh nor reproach them, but always address them with kindly speech.
And We have enjoined on man to be good to his parents - his mother bears him in weakness upon weakness, and his weaning takes two years - and said, 'Give thanks to Me and thy parents. Unto Me is the final return

It says in the Bible, that the night Jesus was arrested, he was praying and was in great distress, and the Devil came to him and tempted him not to go through with it. Then it says that after Jesus was crucified, the Devil was glad and like, threw a party over his death. I don't get this. Could someone please explain it to me better so I'll understand?

Why do we have to like everyone? So what, as a Christian, I'm not overly fond of homosexual lifestyles. I have friends who are gay and bi, and I hate the sin not the sinner (in fact, one of my bi-friends is my best friend, adopted brother, and advisor). They are cool with that. Why is it that I"m the bad guy because I don't like something? Not everyone likes me, and I've seen enough hate on here to know that not everyone likes Christians.

I just so happen to be athiest and those who know this are prejudice against me. I have no problem with people who believe in a god, I just choose to be different. I have my reasons to be athiest, so why then are people so prejudice? The way I feel, we're all athiest if you think about it, I just choose to take it one god farther. So what's the big deal? Should I be prejudice against those who believe in god? I try to respect other people's choices and decisions, why can't people just repay the honor and let me live my life the American way?

Do these people think I am not aware of religion and that I am a big boy now so if I wanted to join could find them? Why do these people feel the need to do this? I don't get Catholics, C of E, Jews, hindus or Muslims coming round to try and get me to come to their religion, so why these people?

Ok I think i posted this question up but i wasn't finished. Ok since my mom went to church, everytime me and my siblings dont listen to her when she says something, she says we are possesed by evil spirits.
She doesn't allow me and my brothers to watch antm or cartoons.
Instead she tells us everyday put the channel to preaching so you can listen to the word of God. Also when we watch cartoons just for 1hr, she says we are being addicted to cartoon spirits. I remember yesterday she said that the hospital she works in was closing down and all of a sudden she started talking about the devil is trying to destroy her job and we must stand up and pray.
What do you think is the matter

When you are asked about your religion, do you give them information about it and let them make their own decision? Do you tell that if they don't follow your religion that they will burn in some sort of pit of eternal suffering? Do you confront people about religion in order to give them the words from your holy book? If they choose not to become part of your faith, can you accept that and respect their decision? What do you prefer? Preaching your religion, or Teaching it to others?

By the way, I prefer teaching. Informing people about my faith when they ask about it, and allowing them to form their own decision regarding it.
