Seventh Day Adventists are very conscious about eating healthful foods. They base their beliefs on Old Testament scriptures. Most Christians do not believe that these scriptures apply to them today and that it is fine to eat those things.

You should not force her or entice her to go against her strong beliefs.

Nothing wrong with staying away from certain foods because you feel it is more healthy to do so. And nothing wrong with staying away from them if you feel that God really doesn't want you to eat them. But a problem arises when the abstainer condemns the indulger... or vice versa.

Seek culinary counselling... (just kidding)

God bless!!!

I'll tell you this much -- pork is made out of pig. Pig is very nearly related to swine. Eating pork is tantamount to eating swine flesh--however which way you try to cook it. If you can do that you got a stronger stomach than me, Jack! I mean Albert!

yes they are unclean animals that we have been told not to eat. Also there is a disease associated with pork, there is a bacteria that lives in the flesh and no matter what temp. you cook it at it still remains. i'm not sure of the correct spelling, i am looking for it. it is very similar to tracanacea

It is not a sin. We can eat anything, but if it causes our brother (or sister) to stumble, then we do not partake in front of them. What we take in does not defile us. It is what comes out of us (and not our rear). What comes out of our mouth, the words we speak. These defile us, because they proceed from the abundance of the heart.
