Why do we have to like everyone? So what, as a Christian, I'm not overly fond of homosexual lifestyles. I have friends who are gay and bi, and I hate the sin not the sinner (in fact, one of my bi-friends is my best friend, adopted brother, and advisor). They are cool with that. Why is it that I"m the bad guy because I don't like something? Not everyone likes me, and I've seen enough hate on here to know that not everyone likes Christians.

You don't, but doesn't it irritate you when as soon as you make it known that you don't like something, someone will try to prove you otherwise?

I commend you for saying what is on your mind, even to your friends

Each individual can like or dislike anything they choose to. I however think that you (and everyone else including myself) should keep these opinions to ourselves and not try to start trouble about it. Homosexuality is widespread and I personally think (due to common sense and scientific research) that people are born that way and it is not a choice they necessarily make themselves. Therefore, I dont see how or why it can be a sin, because our god created these people this way. That would be like him saying, OK.... I created you as being white person but you have to go through life as a black person. (How is that possible?) I'm not trying to be negative or mean here, I am just saying that every single person in this world has their own opinions and point of views. That is OK. Just dont try to push these beliefs on others who dont agree. That would help the world be a much friendlier place. Smile at people and go on about your business instead of trying to change them.

I hope people show me how much they agree or disagree with my answer here by giving me a thumbs up or thumbs down!

Good Day!

It is not about liking everyone - it is about not judging or condemning. Life is tough enough without people looking down their nose at you. Practice patience and that's all anyone can ask. Like you said love the sinner not the sin. "Romans 3:23 "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of G-d"

You don't have to "like" everyone. Love isn't always the kissy huggy thing. love is sometimes admonishing the sinner too. How many sinners will be in Hell angry because people didn't tell them what they were doing was wrong? It is always going to be that way. If you let someone know they shouldn't be doing something they will not like you sometimes to the point that they hate you but that's o.k. Jesus says because they hated him too.

I agree. There are people I know and love who are gay, but I do not approve of their lifestyle, and I never will. I dare say, the world is MUCH more gay-friendly than Christian-friendly in our generation. It's a wider accepted lifestyle with less chance of mockery being made of it; than if you are of the Christian faith. I've never heard someone who's gay be accused of stupidity, evil, and all the myriad of other names we're called.

Firstly you do not need to like everyone, you can avoid the ones you don't like.
It is easier to be neutral , and not to show that you dislike someone or lifestyle, why judge at all just get along with life.

Xtian have a lot of negatives but that is not my cross to bear.

You don't. You just have to respect everyone, and should try to get along.

BTW, a falacy of Christian and Muslim religion, is that being gay, bi, or straight, is a choice. IT IS NOT. You are BORN THAT WAY! If you are religious, you can take this a step further, and say: God make you that way.

Its okay to not like what something that someone is doing and like the person...... I have gay friends too, I'm christian, but I'm not going to lay in the sac with them..... Or if (as for me) if they smoke, I love the person but I hate their habits... People aren't going to like somebody just because its human nature..... stupid human nature.... We cant get out of that..... I'm whoever is trying to make you the "bad Guy" should first look at themselves.... Its your choice to not like something or not.....just don't take it to a insulting violent level......

That person should give the same respect as you give them.....
And yeah I have a few friend that don't like the whole Christian thing, but whatever yo, thaz all them..... just don't insult it.... but your allow to have your own opinion......

Okay I'm done lol

We don't have to like everyone, but we do have to love everyone.

But the key is that we can't love everyone on our own, it takes God's love through us to love everyone around us. And when you finally get that, you'll find out that it's effortless: you WANT to love everyone, you don't HAVE to. The goal, of course, is to show them how much God loves them in order to save them. The love (charity) will compel you look past their any annoying foibles they might have and love them because God does.

But you're right, you should hate your homosexual friends' lifestyles as much as you love them as people. It may be the thing that brings them out of their sin and death.

We do NOT have to like everyone.

We should LOVE everyone! Christians will be disliked, hated, ridiculed, etc.

Jesus said we would and we are. No surprises there. But we are supposed to Love our neighbor and help those in need. Everyone loves their friends, we are called to love our friends AND our enemies.

Good Luck and God Bless!

You don't have to like everybody to be Christian. The Bible states that you are supposed to head the opposite way of sin but you are not supposed to judge people either.
