people believe theres an invisible man, living in the sky who watches everything you do of every single day. and he has a special list of TEN THINGS he does not want you to do and if you do any of these things he has a special place with fire where he will send you to rott and burn and cry and scream and choke forever until the end of time, but he loves us?

I've noticed so many claim this and they claim this cause the person who wrote it said god inspired them to write this.
my question to you, is if someone now added to the bible, (wrote a new book, or edited it), and claimed that god inspired them to do this. would you believe them? why or why not?
(after all u cant prove god did or did not inspire them, same way u cant prove the other authors of the bible..)

As a youth I practiced the yogic tradition with my family, it was wonderful. As a teenager I became profoundly christian. I spent years in true devotion, church work, missionary work there is no room here for the spiritual experiences. I now study zen buddhism. I have experienced several awakenings which have cemented this zen tradition, now it is deepening. I'm not certain what is happening to me. Zen training is revealing that truth is completely individual and could never be otherwise. This would mean a being, a sentient being cannot follow another sentient being into truth. Truths are gateways we pass through alone. We may set a light beside these pathways but that is all. Our Lord Jesus Christ set a blinding light beside for us, Buddha set his light and so on. I have wasted half my life thinking I could follow others to truth. This is why each of us feels so correct in doing what we feel is right. Only in this way can a higher power add upon what has been learned. This is so?

you ever sit there and think well this kind of punishment on mankind is more then just cruel, we dont even punish the worst of people that way in our own country, wouldnt you do as american soldiers do and fight for freedom not to be harmed for having your beliefs to your choice of God? See i personally do not think God allows us to be punished for eternity, and a lot of people say well God didnt send you there you sent yourself there, well not letting a person into heaven is considered evil in my book. Anyway i believe in a God of total love and forgiveness and there are many ways to him just like there are many different looks, opinions, styles and languages out there.

If Christians believe that when Jesus came the old deal (what they call the old testament) was replaced with the new deal (new testament) then how do they know for sure that G-d hasn't come up with a new new deal (maybe Islam or something else that they just missed)?

when there are bits and pieces of THOUSANDS of scripture that were never even used.? There may be truths within it, but how can people think it's the 'literal word' it's been reprogrammed and re-done and explained in horrible ways for thousands of years. I believe in god, but no religion.

Why do people have the need for a higher entity to believe in? I myself believe in no god and I am not realy missing one. I believe I am stronger for having no god, for not relying on something else.

But why has the world religious people?

I mean if you read the bible, (and as a scholar and student of mass delusions I have) it would seem angels personally couldn't give a damn about humans. Just my opinion.

charge of companies all over the world, or the president of a company , or maybe the president of the united states. WOmen can do the job just as well and maybe even better then a man so why do you think its a sin for women to be in charge of other males in a work place, also why do some men think they are in charge of their wives when their wives are a adult ?

Is it true that you believe that Jesus Christ will come down from heaven on the last day and open the way for people to go to Heaven, what role does he play or am I wrong? I might be confusing that with a differant religion.

For example, God kills 70,000 innocent people because David ordered a census of the people (1 Chronicles 21). God also orders the destruction of 60 cities so that the Israelites can live there. He orders the killing of all the men, women, and children of each city, and the looting of all of value (Deuteronomy 3). He orders another attack and the killing of “all the living creatures of the city: men and women, young, and old, as well as oxen sheep, and asses” (Joshua 6). In Judges 21, He orders the murder of all the people of Jabesh-gilead, except for the virgin girls who were taken to be forcibly raped and married. When they wanted more virgins, God told them to hide alongside the road and when they saw a girl they liked, kidnap her and forcibly rape her and make her your wife! Just about every other page in the Old Testament has God killing somebody! In 2 Kings 10:18-27, God orders the murder of all the worshipers of a different god in their very own church!

Is the mark of the beast really after the rapture as I believed? Well, after I read this verse I became a skeptic abt this. Revelation 20:4-And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgement was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the BEAST, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a THOUSAND YEARS.
How will those who don't take the beast LIVE AND REIGN with Jesus for 1000 YEARS?

Why would an all powerful God need servants? I keep hearing Christians say that we're here to serve God. So are you saying God created us as a slave race?
