I've noticed so many claim this and they claim this cause the person who wrote it said god inspired them to write this.
my question to you, is if someone now added to the bible, (wrote a new book, or edited it), and claimed that god inspired them to do this. would you believe them? why or why not?
(after all u cant prove god did or did not inspire them, same way u cant prove the other authors of the bible..)

The Bible has nearly 2,000 years of moral authority backing it up. Can any other book make that claim?

The Bible may be inspired by God but it has absolutely been censored by man... which is why it can't be the authoritative word. Not until the Vatican or who ever is responsible ....releases the books that were not included. It is hard to decipher the Bible because we don't have all the info. Like doing a jigsaw puzzle with half the pieces missing.

People do this all the time. Ever hear of Mohammed? Joseph Smith? Mary Baker Eddy? L. Ron Hubbard? ... just to name a few. No disrespect to any of these people but everytime someone writes a new scripture, the orthodox authorities brand them heretics or infidels, excommunicate them if they can, but most pick up some kind of following. The authority of a "scripture" is a human decision, usually based on compatibility with previous teachings. The Jewish rabbis had to vote on their canon at Jamnia in 90 CE. The Christian bishops voted on their canon in the 4th Century. God's influence on the vote is never overt. And on it goes.

Jesus established an authority on earth to discern this for His followers. Mt 28:18-20 describes this authority. It still exists today.

In fact, the leader on earth is visiting Turkey today.

I guess because John says that nobody can add or subtract from it. Even though when John wrote that there was no Bible as the Bible wasn't put together until about a millenium later.

Religion requires Faith.

Anything you believe in that you cannot hold, (Love, kindness, even morals) require Faith.

You can believe or you don't have to.

There are many things that we believe that we cannot physically prove.

Give the New Testament a read and make up your own mind.

Peace!
