If Satan was perfect, full of wisdom & knowledge where did he get the ideal of pride from?..or why would he consider disobeying God, if he was perfect?..perhaps evil existed before him?.

Isaiah 45:7
I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.

From your own Bible, Christians.

I dare you to pull the "out of context" card on me.

God did not create evil. It is more accurate to say that if God had not given intelligent beings free will, then evil would not exist. In other words, as long as free will exists, there exists, of necessity, the ability to do wicked.

Most people have an imperfect understanding of the word "perfect." It does not mean it is impossible to do wrong. To say a perfect person cannot do wrong is just as mistaken as it is to say that an imperfect person cannot do right.

Satan was perfect in the sense that he met the standards of God. The American Heritage Dictionary defines perfect as "...Lacking nothing essential to the whole; complete of its nature or kind. 2. Being without defect or blemish." This definition matches the Bible word for perfect. And this is what Satan, Adam and Eve were.

Some say we could not appreciate good if we did not have evil. But that is unreasonable. Do we feel we don't appreciate our right hand unless we cut off our left? Is it reasonable or even scriptural to suggest that Adam and Eve did not appreciate good in the garden of Eden until they sinned? Do we rightly think that when they became imperfect sinners, they suddenly appreciated goodness? That makes no sense.

When God created Adam and Eve and the angelic forces, he gave them all free will. As such, they had the ability to choose the path of righteousness or the path of wickedness. That some chose the path of wickedness cannot be blamed on God.

Good question, Indirectly I would say so, God created the things He did knowing what would happen, but also providing a way.

Satan sinned because of pride, I don't know how this came about, but I do not remember reading anywhere in the bible that said satan was perfect.

There is no reference to Satan being perfect, in any form. Scripture does not say he was full of wisdom and knowledge. The ability to make choices contrary to God's will is the author of sin. Thus you are responsible for your own evil.

Perhaps In the beginning is a reference to this existence only.
Thinking along the lines that The Bible is a guide to help us through this temporary phase. He has only given us the information we need to ascend to the next level of existense, of which we can not fathom. The answer to this question may elude us simply because we do not need to know.

Peace :)

Since God is the creater of all things and evil exists then yes logically God must be the creater of evil!

The Bible does even mention the Evil spirit of GOD!
1 Samuel 16:14 an evil spirit from the LORD troubled him.

Depends.. would be consistent to a belief that "God" is the universal sole creator. If evil preceded God, not sure what set of beliefs this follows. There is one notion to consider in making sense of this, which is one of the omnipresence of duality in our existence -i.e. strengths of one form can only be countered or matched by an equivalent

Evil is the absence of good, as per St. Augustine. When you do your things, and not God's things, that is what evil is.

Evil is not a substance, not a thing. That is Manicheism. Evil is merely the absence of good.

God is the author of peace, or so it says in the book. I don't think Satan exists except as a projection of human ideas.
