Why would an all powerful God need servants? I keep hearing Christians say that we're here to serve God. So are you saying God created us as a slave race?

LMAO. interesting, maybe he got bored and decided to make a race of beings to do his work for him.
if i lived for eternity, and had power to do anything i wanted, im sure at one point id get bored enough to make little beings to do as i tell, and watch them evolve technoligically and fight over my existance. it would give me something to do.

I think that many Christians would respond that God doesn't need servants but that we need to serve God in order to have fulfilled lives, leaving alone for a moment the idea of salvation.

there is a difference between willingly serving someone and being forced to, Christians who say this are willingly serving God (or at least I hope). Being a servant is another way of showing respect. In the bible it says Jesus washed his disciples feet, which is obviously a servants job, but Jesus did this to show his love and respect for them and that he is not above serving people.
It is a form of humbling yourself and loving others.

God doesn't need Servants. Humans need to be servants of God to feel fulfillment!

"Addison" has a point. And serving is the least of it. We have to praise him, sing unto him, and be totally loyal. And if we don't do those things, our God will send us to suffer for all eternity. Isn't love wonderful?

This is a difficult question, I'd like to explore a bit. In the beginning God created us in his image. But we fell into sin by way of the temptations of satan. Now we serve in a fight against satan and sin.

We were created to bring joy to God. We serve him out of Love and Loyalty, Out of the one hundred and sixty so commandments it can be sunned up to two, Love my Lord with ALL my heart and Love my neighbor as i would love myself. When you love someone you do things for them out of Love Same thing!!
