The first Resurrection started when Jesus raised from the dead. It is finished before the 1000 year reign of Christ when the beast and false prophet is thrown into the lake of fire. And when satan is bound in the abyss.
The Rapture is for those ready with their oil in their lambs. Not all born of God Christians have oil full in thier lamps. The Rapture is part of the 1st resurrection before the Antichrist rule. Those ready with oil in their lamps / Holy Spirit anointing full, will be resurrected. Then is in heaven the Lambs marriage supper. Those with oil in their lamps.
There is also Gods judgment and rewards for those redeemed by the blood. This is a long process. But with the Holy Spirit and Spirit full Christians in heaven, lawlessness will break forth on the earth and usher in the Antichrist, etc. Christians will be on earth and many will be saved, but they will have to give their life (for not taking the mark of the beast or bowing to it) by being beheaded. These left behind Christians take part of the first resurrection also.
As soon as they are beheaded they go straight to heaven with rewards from the LORD God.
God has not appointed any born of God Christian to wrath, so Christians or Messianic Jews will be is a safe designated place on earth, or already beheaded for faith in Christ and in heaven (rewarded) when God pours His wrath on those (including harlot babylon) who murdered the Prophets & Saints of God and who destroy His creation.
At the rapture, those ready will be resurrected in a new everlasting body. Then those who are beheaded afterwards, will be resurrected in everlasting bodies in Gods perfect timing, before the 1000 reign of Jesus Christ.
The 1st Resurrection is Pre-, Mid- and Post- Tribulation. The Rapture is part of that and is before the abomination of desolation rule.
Everyone part of the 1st Resurrection, redeemed by the Blood of the Lamb, the second death (lake of fire) has no authority over them.

There have been scores of books written about whether the Rapture is pre, mid, or post tribulation, and I've never gotten a real handle on it myself.
But it might be possible that the people mentioned in the verse you gave might be those who didn't make the rapture, but became believers afterwards, and therefore didn't take the mark of the beast.
I guess it's all open to speculation eh?

_-Mysterious, hmm. The Bible's depiction of Christ's second coming is vivid in the book of Revelations. How exciting and terrible at the same time! I have read the Bible and can tell you I believe it is True. I Cannot take away from the Gosples or the book of Revealation lest I loose my Portion of the promises that are stated there in. If anyone dose change the Book of Revelations or add to it they will share in the Lake of Fire just as the book states. Warm and toasty forever dude, No Thanks!!

first, it is the kingdom of the heavens, So Christ will reign in heaven.
1 Tim 6:15 This [manifestation] the happy and only Potentate will show in its own appointed times, [he] the King of those who rule as kings and Lord of those who rule as lords, 16 the one alone having immortality, who dwells in unapproachable light, whom not one of men has seen or can see.
Says that mankind can not see Christ again, so his coming in Kingdom power will be visible because of the things it accomplishes.
The destruction of the world governments and those who support the wild beast, and those who received the mark.
The restoration of earthly paradise, the resurrection of faithful ones such as David, Moses, Abraham.
The opening of the new scrolls.

In a way we least expect it...Just like 2000 years ago. He will not come based on our human expectations. He will come in a way that He sees fit to come.
I suspect that when he reveals himself - many will see and follow and many can't or won't see. I suspect the Vatican might want a word or two with him. I wonder if the priests of the high temple will see Him as the Christ this time around. They'd better.

No such thing as the Rapture.
At the seventh trump all will be changed. No man abiding in a flesh body.
Mar 13:24 But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light,
Mar 13:25 And the stars of heaven shall fall, and the powers that are in heaven shall be shaken.
Mar 13:26 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory.
Mar 13:27 And then shall he send his angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven.

I can't wait for that day, heres what I believe will happen. Jesus will come down in the clouds adn the whole world will see him at once. He will rise the dead christians and then call the living christians and then we will go to heaven. :D
it'll be a glorious day. This is the reason why im not scared when people die b/c i know that they are literally sleeping like jesus said. then god will wake them up and it will be like when we wake up after a long nap, we don't realize how long we've been sleeping at all. Don't lose your faith, stick to it, and ask god to help you understand it. He is always more helpful than yahoo. lol

You just keep believing it is metaphorical and symbolic. You will see how metaphorical and symbolic heaven and hell are. As far as the wedding is concerned the groom is JESUS and the bride is the people of HIS church. At the end of days the living, and the dead in Christ, will rise and go to be with the groom in heaven, its called the rapture.

I see it the way the Book of Mark puts it... "Then they will see the Son of Man coming in clouds with great power and glory."
I think that's the only thing you can do... is imagine the moment itself as it will be personally to you. Trying to play Nostradamus with the bible and figure out the future course of history is futile. Our future is not written yet, and if anyone had the perfect eschatological answer to how it was all going to play out, that person would be richer than Bill Gates.
The bottom line? None of us knows much about "last things." We all come to the end as ignorant as we came to our birth. That only leaves us with three things.
Faith, hope, and love.
May they be with you til the very end.

I believe in the apocalipse in which the AntiChrist will come and start the armageddon war. Then when he will be victorius, Jesus will come down on Earth and destroy him. That's my vision of the Apocalipse, also I believe the apocalipse isn't the end, it is a new begining.
