If we are the "supreme human kind" as we say we are, if aliens exsist and they are more advanced then us wouldn't that show that there is no God since we are suppose to be his best creation? Think about this hard before you answer.

The Four Noble Truths: that suffering is an inherent part of existence; that the origin of suffering is ignorance and the main symptoms of that ignorance are attachment and craving; that attachment and craving can be ceased; and that following the Noble Eightfold Path will lead to the cessation of attachment and craving and therefore suffering.

People that have such a strong devotion to an imaginary friend should be in mental institutions. A person really has to be sick to think they are worshipping the "one true god". You damned idiots. There is no god. Where the hell is he, huh? None of you came to god through reasoning. You don't believe because there's proof or evidence. You are afraid of death and uncertainty. You think you're special and that there must be something for you in the end. Well there's nothing. We're just animals. Just specks floating on a speck in space. Nothing in the universe cares about us. And I'll tell you the truth, I envy you idiot freaks. You're so convinced of your ability to live through death that no reasoning can shake your retarded faith. Take your blinders off and look around you. You see beauty but you must be looking through a pinhole. Really look around. Where is the beauty. Lets break down what beauty means. Delve into some scientific methodology, beauty is an illusion of the mind.

It seems so many christians disregard the big bang theory and evolution because they think it's nullifying god. Isn't it more likely that evolution and the big bang are tools of gods creation? (if there is a god) Also isn't the evidence in favor of these theories too overwhelming to be denied rationaly?

Why do atheists say Hitler's action had everything to do with his religion but Stalin's action had nothing to with his atheism?

The Quran clearly states that the Muslim religion must expand thoughout the world and convert everyone to Islam. The Quran makes it clear in its chapters on Jihad that every able Muslim must fight for the Islamic faith and that women and older people must aid these Jihadists when required. The Quran talks about chopping off the heads and fingers of non-believers. Do we sit back and allow the Muslims to take over (in spite of their claims to the contrary) or do we fight back on a united front? Incidentally, the Quran states that a Muslim is not allowed to become close with a Christian or jew because the Muslim will become contaminated. Also once a Muslim, always a Muslim or the person who leaves the religion is marked for death.

These people are no different than the Klan. They're a dressed up hate group and that's it. They could care less about real Christian values.

I always thought of it as when one person draws conclusions about another person's heart/thoughts/mind/motivations/intentions/etc. without any possible way of knowing any such thing about them.

Case in point...

"They fear being "formed" into something other than what their evil, carnal and devilish desires are. Believers scare the crap out of them so much that they feel they need to call them "crazy" or illogical, or whatever."

How does this person have any way of knowing how other people think or what's in their hearts and minds to the point that she can such a judgment?

Is this what Jesus would have her say?

I realize that not all Christians say such things. But I also realize that your holy text tells you to correct your own, and rarely do I see anyone correcting the judgment statements from their fellow Christians that are made repeatedly here.

There is a group of Christians who are tryin to convert Muslim teens to Christianity. I watched it on news today and i was shocked what i heard! They are offering girl friends to boyz for teaching Christianity to them and those girls are offering sexual relationships to boyz after a while. And those people are even offering money to these teens. They had recorded these stuff with a camera and proved this ugly behaviour. Isnt it brainwashing(even worst)??

I am not looking for a limited definition like "faith in.....(something - God, Jesus, Allah, the Torah, the Holy Qu'ran, Buddha, the Dallas Cowboys, the teachings of L. Ron Hubbard etc.,)" I am looking for a definition for the entire concept of "FAITH" more or less as a cognitive awareness. That which militant Atheists tend to discount as self-delusion or false and those of religious conviction or belief feel is central to a person's relationship to the "infinite" or "divine."

How would YOU define this concept?
