I am a Christian, but my "connection",so to speak, with God just seems to be fading.I am feeling kind of lost and empty as far as my spiritual life goes.It just kind of creeped up on me not too long ago.Alot of prayer and thought is going into this already, but any (kind&andthoughtful) advice is apreciated.(So,ya,I am going to do this the WSIDR way)

What should I do?

John 8:11
"Then neither do I condemn you," Jesus declared. "Go now and leave your life of sin."

How could the adulteress live the rest of her life without sin?

If one can live the rest of ones life without sin, then why is not not possible to live one's whole life without sin?

I have never kept this tradition, but I was wondering how many people (at least those with a fire place do keep it.)

Surface area of the earth 519,000,000 kilometers squared multiplied by height of Everest from sea level 8.85 kilometers if I'm not mistaken equals 4.59 billion cubic kilometers approx.

That much extra water on the planet would have caused total rotational decay, the atmosphere would have been unbreathable at 99.9% water vapour organisms would have drowned by breathing. The oxygen level would have been 0.02% not even enough for the most convinced Christians.

Why do creationists and fundimentalists want to teach creation "science" to school kids?
Why do these people who call themselves "Christians" want to mislead and lie to children?

This is a response to Pascal's wager.

"It is better to live your life as if there are no gods, and try to make the world a better place for your being in it. If there is no god, you have lost nothing and will be remembered fondly by those you left behind. If there is a benevolent god, he will judge you on your merits and not just on whether or not you believed in him."

There is no doubt that they existed and were fully developed in 130,000 BC. There were traces before neanderthal that fall back even as far as 350,000 BC. If they existed where does Adam and Eve stand in all this? What did they look like? When were they born?

Neanderthals are not contested. They know that they existed and they know that they've been around for over a hundred thousand years ago. Knowing this, you have to somehow fit your beliefs into why they exist. Or do you just take the easy road and say it all a lie?

In the Old Testament the god supported and even called for wars and genocides, urged an eye for an eye and constantly tested humanity. The god of the New Testament sent its "son" to teach a message of love and selflessness.

What were the changes in society that forced a change in the god image? Did it have something to do with the times being more peaceful under the Roman Empire?

What do you think about the whole issue of presenting religion (not morals, ethics or good manners - just religion) to kids before they reach maturity?

And likewise what about people being 'born into a religion' as opposed to adopting a religion out of choice?

At Sunday School they were teaching how God created everything, including human beings. Little Johnny, a child in the kindergarten class, seemed especially intent when they told him how Eve was created out of one of Adam's ribs. Later in the week his mother noticed him lying as though he were ill, and said. "Johnny what is the matter?" Little Johnny responded, "I have a pain in my side. I think I'm going to have a wife
