They obviously aren't mentioned in the 7 days but we do have pretty hard evidence of them.

I think some people think I am saying that Christians are obviously wrong. I want to clarify that I'm just interested in what some Christians and others would have to say on this

It's very simple, they didn't believe in them, nor know about them.

The beginning of "Christianity" in the Torah, aka Old testament, was just 6,000 years old.

Way after the dinosaurs were extinct.

The reason why they don't mention a lot of animals like the kangaroo, toucan and so on; is that the "Religion" was a localized one to the Middle East, around present day Israel and mentioned events that happened there.

The Great Flood was perhaps a localized event that happened due to glacial melting and the shift of the earths axis.

Most things in the Torah would be full of inaccuracies.

I think you shouldn't take things literally, like the 7 days story; because it's evident that there was no one around to make that "Testament".

Christianity is, really, more based upon the Charisma of Christ. It's greatness lies in the fact that Christ taught us to seek the Truth and not be blinded by lies.

I've used this as an answer before, but it shows a valid point.

You have to picture this... there is water above the ground covering everything (the atmosphere is water)(this is illustrated in Genesis). Recent studies have shown that this setting would create in increase in oxygen and pressure and would allow for miraculous growth. These studies have been conducted in i think what is called a "hyperbaric chamber". Somehow, with increased pressure and oxygen, animals can heal at rapid rates and live much longer (which would explain the extreme age of OT people). Dinosaurs are lizards and lizards never stop growing. Dinosaur fossils show what can happen to lizards when they are grown in this environment. To prove the size of people and animals, Genesis 6:4 says "There were giants on the earth in those days...".

I know this may sound far fetched, but look into this hyperbaric chamber thing. In China, they've grown a cherry tree to almost 3 times its normal size.

Most dinosaurs were created on day six when the land animals were created. They would have been on the Ark as well, Noah could have taken younger animals of each kind so they wouldn't have been huge. There are ppl saying we can't take the Bible literally bc of scientific evidence. I know what evidence they're talking about, and it can interpreted either way. What you need to understand is that you can't allow outside ideas to influence Scripture. You can't take the idea that the Earth is millions of years old and try to fit it into Scripture, that's placing man's word over God's. If God said He took six days, He took six days, there shouldn't be any dispute about that. Compromises mean death and disease, like cancer, which there's evidence of in fossils, being part of the "very good" creation. Why would God call death and disease "very good"? Death isn't very good, it's called the last enemy and will be destroyed. Death is the punishment for sin "for dust you are, and to dust you shall return." Cancer isn't very good either, try explaining that to a patient dying of it, see how loving they think God is then.

There are actually drawings of what look like brontosaurus in caves, indicating we lived at the same time, in addition, the dragon legends we have are probably embellished accounts of dinosaurs.

There are very few christians who take genesis as literal. Your grouping of all chistians together is ignorant. Read what the Catholic church teaches about evolution.Find out what the main stream christians are teaching. Do some research and find out the facts before you attack another persons belief system. Its rude crude and ingnorant.
If a bunch of people want to worship a head of lettuce and there ok with that, why is that your busines? You with the Spanish inquisition? You telling everyone else how to think. Im glad your not in charge WE would all be in gulags or probably death camps. The Nazis had a problem with the jewish beleif system too. If it act like a duck and quacks like a duck its probably a duck.

A more properly worded question would have been, " If SOME Christians believe....?"

The answer, however, is that they believe God created the the dinosaurs as fossilized bones, well as all those other things that might give credence to evolution. In effect, one might say that for them, they walked into the theater in the middle of the movie and believe it is the beginning.

I have heard some of them talk about this. Once on the late night radio show "Coast to Coast AM" a Christian "creationist" was interviewed. He said that before the flood of Noah, when people lived to be hundreds of years old, all animals lived longer, and reptiles grew larger than they do today. Many of the "dinosaur" fossils we find are just overgrown reptiles from before the flood. Also Geological forces may distorted their remains over time (no more than a couple of thousand yeas in "creationist time")
That is a short version of it. I don't believe it myself. There was simply too many things going on in the verifiable past to only allow Earth to only be 6000 years old as most "creationists" say.

Christians have never tried to deny the existence of dinosaurs. We know they existed. The Bible never said that Dinosaurs didn't exist. Read the 7 days again. There is no mention of Elephants, bears, lions, dogs, or even cats. We have no problem believing they exist either. No specific animal is mentioned.
Genesis 1:24-25
24 And God said, "Let the land produce living creatures according to their kinds: livestock, creatures that move along the ground, and wild animals, each according to its kind." And it was so. 25 God made the wild animals according to their kinds, the livestock according to their kinds, and all the creatures that move along the ground according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good.

The dinosaurs are outside the Garden of Eden trying to get in and eat Adam and Eve. There's a movie there!

It depends on the sect of Christianity. Under Catholic dogma the Bible is considered Religious truth as apposed to historical fact.

The Vatican and catholics will accept scientific proof over the 7 day creation myth. We maybe tradtional but we're not blind to fact. Evolution and the big bang theory, we just feel this is how god created the universe, science is his way not magic.

The Bible mentions animals of the land, sea and air. Dinosaurs were created by God but were before time of humans. The 'days' in the Bible are symbolic of periods of time in a particular order.
The idea of the existence of God, or not, cannot be based on the fact that dinosaurs existed.
