Is there nothing useful you could be doing? Like trying to solve the problem yourself, or finding someone who can do so for you?

I would suggest that since God helps those who help themselves, you should be extremely pro-active in making your kids safe, in whatever way you can. Don't dump all responsibility on God. Not that you are, but just saying that in case. And read the booklet I am sending to you on the below link.

I know what your going through. Your children are also God's children and he will protect them. I will be praying for you and them. You be sure and pray over them before they are to see your ex. Cover them with the precious blood of Jesus and command the angels to be with them and protect them. This is what I must do with my children to ensure their safety and of course God is faithful.

I will pray for you but what are your needs. It is hard to pray for someone unless you know their needs.
